Concerning Mask Scent ability.

Noticed a trend concerning this ability, some people say it works fine, others say it is broken. Both are probably right. On Kashyyk, Rryatt Trail. I could still gain Scout XP, traveled from Level 1 to Level 3, had mask scent broken 4 times, about 98% success rate. At Level 3, gaining the Perfect Horn, I maxed out on Scout XP, but took Trail Master to top, got my Carbine. Decided to do the hunter trials, once again went on foot throught Levels 1 and 2. Had Mask Scent broken 5 times on level 1, and 6 times on Level 2. Didn't even go to Level 3. Success rate was around 65 to 70%.

I am FS, so went to Danth to cash out Scout XP. On way to village, could not keep Mask Scent up for more then 40 seconds, everything was breaking it. Got to village, cashed out, and on way back, had Mask Scent broken only 4 times. Was even able to tame a level 69 creature to boot without Mask Scent breaking.

Conclusion, there is a bug that when you max out on Scout XP, Mask Scent takes a significant drop in effectiveness. Probably in the subroutine where XP is no longer being granted and program is being routed to a different sub routine then when XP is granted.

everyone knows that its at fault its on the scout cor's bug list as

what i am enraged about is trap exp i got 4044 scout in 10 mins by harvestig lvl 82 bols with double exp, but trapping i get 1-2 exp at the most for; since it only works on creatures lower then 20 but i am lvl 80. anyone that trys and master scout will have to drop all the way back to a brawler or marksman just to get it

Actually i don't think I have this particular bug listed. I will go through the thread and make sure I didn't miss it. Please feel free to post it (or re-post it) on the Scout Bug list.

mask scent doesn't work at all hardly for me, I stopped using it just about, if there is a creature that is your level or above, then it will break every single time, I have yet to be able to mask scent against anything above my level no mater what I did. Anything below my level is easy pickens and can't hurt me, THere for, the ability is pretty much useless

Last night, maskscent was working fine against scyks at my level (CL 12). I received the scouting XP system message at least four times, and they didn't break it once. Maybe it's different at higher levels.

Edit: just reread the first post and saw the part about capped XP. Never mind.
