The guides Delta wrote (stickied at the top) are very useful for leveling Scout. Some of the info is outdated (the camping stuff) but most of it is still very useful. THe best advice I can give you right now is to tell you that trapping xp is broken right now. If you do not make sure to keep leveling it along with your other skills it will be nearly impossible to level it later. Always try to make the next trapping box before you train in any weapons or scout skills you've earned.

Always always always use traps while at a lower level.

Here is the deal.

A low CL means you will get better xp for low level creatures. If you build up Scout boxes you raise your CL, and lower the xp you get for trapping on the easy creatures. A lot of dummies never trap until they have to (bad tactics and plain stupid if you ask me) and then whine they only get one xp per creature. Well no crap Sherlock, figured that out did ya?

Pick on creatures commensurate with your CL and trap then silly and you will easily max trapping out. Realizew though, grouping with a high level won't help - you ain't gonna be sticking any traps on a level 80 creature when you have one or two boxes in trapping. Start small, work up, and it comes easily.
