Thread: Any good Harvesting Macro's out there??

I'm wanting to grind scout xp and want to know if any of u have a good harvesting macro. It really pains me to have to select every single creature individually and select Hide/Bone/Meat each time, would the /harvest Meat command work?.

NO, i don't mean afk macros, i want to be able to concentrate on killing stuff so i can grind faster. What is it with everyone on these forums assuming ppl want macros for afk usage, just chill out man.

My guess would be the fact that there's so many people post-CU that want to afk macro their way to the top, was really bad right after the CU hit but has died off a fair amount since then.

Ok, tried the /harvest hide/meat/bone commands, with all i got "Cannot harvest that from this creature" but when i used the mouse and selected hide/meat/bone i got however many units. Anyone know if this is bugged ???

Hmm, that is odd, I use a macro like that to harvest my kills all the time. Main thing I can think of to suggest is to make sure that the macro contains nothing but /harvest meat for the meat macro and so on for the other 2. You can also try manually typing it in on a kill just to make sure that you're not experiencing some sort of weird bug.

There is an issue where the command won't work if its types in caps, or partly in caps, but will if its all on lower case,
so /harv meat should work but /HARV MEAT or /Harv Meat might barf.
Also, if you loop the macro so it just runs over and over, that frequently barfs unless you have a pause in there somewhere.
(Just out of curiosity, where were you when you got the message? On Bria? Maybe there's a resource shift in progress, that can _ things up too. )

Oh yeah, I had completely forgotten about that too, resource shifts will give that message as well. I've only encountered that 1 time which is why I didn't think of it.

As will trying to harvest a resource the creature doesn't actually have. Bone from an insect, etc

It's ok, its working now!. I logged out, got a drink and logged back in and the same command i had setup works just fine!! - thats Bria for ya!!

Its handy to have a /target corpse handy too. When something gets untargeted, and is in the side of a hill.
