I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a trapping question. I am currently lvl 80, master rifle, with 4-1-2-0 in scout. I am considering respeccing my scout skills to give myself trapping 4. My question is - whenattempting to trapsomething around my level, say using a p-dart, will I have any hope of having the trap stick? Does your ability to hit a targetdepend onlyon your trapping skill, or is your CL factored in too? I think at trap 4, my trapping skill mod is only 30. I understand there are things I can do to enhance this (Dweezel, tapes, droids,) but will that even be enough to make it work? Any numbers available on trapping skill = success up toxx CL? I'm just looking for a little edge when fighting solo, without having to try to pick up ranger. With respeccing, I am not concerned about the xp from trapping, and I could respec to ranger if I had too, but since I only have the token respec to do this, I need to decide which way to go before I commit.
Thanksin advance.

Trapping skill doesn't scale with CL ...you can successfully trap the same creatures with the same success rate at 0400 scout if you're CL 10 or CL 80. That said, you should be able to succeed a bit against CL 80 creatures at Novice Ranger, worst case.

I'm having this problem as well... I can't seem to trap anything high enough to get legitimate xp.

I beg to disagree. I am level 80 and just threw 42 - XXXXII - forty-two - traps at a creature half my level without one sticking, and this isn't the only time i've tried today. I would have thrown more but the spawn got so bored that it disappeared. I have yet to make one trap stick on any creature over level 30ish, and I have yet to get more than 1 xp for any trap that did stick.
