Well, Am I the only one that had a VERY easy time getting trapping xp? I mean come on, i once got a total of 3871 trapping xp off of one creature! At 79 Trap xp a trap landed, and i landed 49 on it... I mean it was easy, Every 10-12 traps i threw i would heal myself and throw more. And what made it even easier is the creature was always stunned and/or blind and/or dizzy. This was extremely easy. Is it meant to be this way? I just threw the 6 different types of traps available at block 2 of trapping over and over and it never died. Maybe it wouldnt be AS bad if creatures could actually die from traps. They always get to like 2/800 mind or 2/600 mind or whatever and stay their. Btw, i did this on a fanned Rawl on Naboo with no weapon equiped so if i accidently hit it, i didnt do hardly any dmg. Sad

TN,

It's not an "exploit", it's simply how the game was designed. It's one of the reasons why trapping XP is getting jacked up in the Ranger tree.

Exploits are technically defined as bugs that allow a player to do something that unbalances the game, i.e. the Baz Nitch exploit, or the Nyms on Lok.

This is something that's working as designed, but can be easy to do.

I actually did bring this up with the Scout dev a while ago.

Ah I C, k i wasnt sure if the part where the creature gets down to like 2/584 mind and never dies was actually a bug or not. Thnx for clarifying for me

Fambaa's, on Naboo, are great for TrapXP. Find a group that is going to hunt them and just throw traps at them. Just make sure you are far enough away that you can run if you need to. I did this and made enough trap XP that I could train all the way to Ranger Trap Level 2. I had just recently trained my Scout Trap Level 3, I made about 60k-70k XP off about 7 Fambaa's. the first one we attacked I was getting 505 a pop, and I landed 19 traps. I stopped throwing so many traps when I noticed I wasn't advancing my XP passed the 30k needed for training Renger Trapping 2. I would try it every once and awhile, and until i trained my Ranger Trap 2 I wouldn't advance my trapping XP.

Tenn,

Nope - that's as designed.

Traps are great, but you've got to at least smack him once.
