If I recall correctly, yes, as your milk gathering is based of your hunting skill.

i thought anyone can gather milk, just haveing mask scent?

Well, you've got to be a Scout to have mask scent. And as you increasing in your creature harvesting skill (the hunter line) it should help increase how much you can get per milk.

You can kill said creature and type /harvest milk without having mask scent (work around).

Ibelieveyou can also milk if a Ranger camosyou - so no Scout skills needed. I also think the amount of milk you get is based purely on creature level, but I could be wrong.

Yeah its based on CL level from what i have seen. But the milking after death thing is interesting if your a master scout or ranger

I tried this the other night with a new toon who hasn't maxed out his scout XP yet, and you do get scout XP for /harvest milk, but not for milking.

Also, the milk yield in my experience is based on CL of the critter, not the skill level of the scout. As a 4/0/4/0 scout I'd outmilk a master ranger on pikets. Haven't noticed a difference with veghash in the system, mainly because milk yields are far more randomized than conventional hide/meat/bone harvests. One fambaa in a herd might give you 79 units of Naboo wild milk, the next one might give you 129 units.

Hello.

The Fambaa and Bol Bolles near Theed are good to milk.

Try the following.

Use veghash to enhance your harvesting skill > milk the creature > kill creature > milk creature dead /h milk .

This way you can get a lot of milk!

Today (11 Dec 2004) the milk quality on Dath was very good off the brackaset females. Without veghash I got 100 units from 1 and left it alive and bailed. Too scary to milk there for me!
