Thread: BUG REPORT 4 SEPTEMBER UPDATE NEW BUGS ONLY!
I agree with all the complaints in this thread. I have witnessed all the problems reported.

Since they took away our numbers when we examine pets, has anyone tested if a novice scout could harvest the same amount as a person who was a expert ranger? Ithink they broke our harvesting points and they are no longer being applied to our harvests.
Well as a Ranger (3, 4, 4, 2)on Naritus I notice that I did lose a lot from this patch. However I gained a lot more. As a leader of a rebel PA on Naritus I now have the /areatrack ability. I have read through all 3 pages of this thread and notice that not a lot are touching on this. I use /areatrack as part of my squad and get wonderful pinpoint accuracy on where IMPs are hanging out. This (for the credit hungry solitude Ranger) could be a very powerful rental for the right price. I used it last night quite successfully seeking out the rival PA.

/conceal is our talent in lieu of /mask. Now conceal is better. Try using /mask with camo kits? Would this help? I would bet it would. Ihave not tried...will this weekend on lok.
again...my .02
The Camp 0% quality issue. What does quality have to do anyways? I'm a Ranger. I could care less on Quality! As long as I get healed then back on /harvest meat (for the PA doctors and Bio-s)

I notice a lot of CH's coupled with Rangers. Should this be our best cross profession? I am almost master pistoleer and really want to be a CH (maybe lower part of onion). but need medical profession a bit and some crafting (not really..or do I!!! so confused)!)
Please...your .02!
Thanks fellow Rangers and Happy Hunting
I know this has been posted but I wanted to post it anyway.
/maskscent being broken by low level mobs. I'm a master scout and have the whole wayfaring line filled up and I had my scent broken by a mutant womp rat?? What is that about? What good does it do to master scout and get the highest maskscent mod you can have, and still have to worry about being attacked by low level critter? I don't need scout xp anymore so getting xp isn't a big deal, but If mastering the Scout profession is still going to let me get aggroed by a lowbie mob, what's the point?

The ranger is there to /areatrack for a new pet I would imagine. As for me I'm pure hunter, Rifleman-Pistol and swordsman. I found this combo to be a good hunting setup. There are better (which sadly, don't have the Ranger-Scout trees much) but it works for me. I didn't want to play Pokemon, but I would like an animal ride
UPDATE!
I believe they heard us, 'cause mask scent IS WORKING on Eclipse now. Seems the calculations really were server-side.
I always liked the idea of hanging out in a cantina on Lok or Endor and offering to apply a /conceal to groups of adventurers heading out for some hunting. If it only lasts ~17 minutes, and goes away permanantly if it is broken by anything, I don't see this being very useful in such a scenario.
Again, good comments everybody, keep it up!
...BIG snip...
Spoiled or no, it works out better for me not using it AT ALL. How can this be right?
I did some more extensive testing on this this evening, and I agree that at this point, it does pretty much seem better to avoid using it due to the chance of drawing an aggro. The frequency of it breaking may be similar to pre-patch master scout maskscent, but the frequency of drawing an aggro seems to be *much* higher. However, I have seen reports that the detection rate seems to be fixed, which could have been possible if it was a server side calculation. I'll do some more testing tomorrow and see what happens.
I really hate flaming myself BUT I was a little premature. I must have had a string of luck. As I got through the day it was breaking with uncanny regularity... seems fate was trying to make up for the good times. The attack on break was low (non-existant, actually) for tabage and violent krahbu. The Sharnaff Bull nearby, however, was less co-operative (again, yellow on 'dar, not normally aggro). This is crazy. When this happened I was getting missed shots like 5 in a row... I'm just confused, seems to have no ryme or reason. The ONLY thing I can think of is they tried to account for daytime/nightime in the detection... but I need to test farther for any true conclusion.

I am a Bothan Master Ranger and know that maskscent and conceal both were not working on chilastra the morning of 9/5 when the my maskscent was broken by a plains hunter off my 64m radar as I walked out my house door, which then of course killed me.
I made and applied a naboo camo kit and ran out of kaadara and was immediately attacked by some thugs (although they didn't break my conceal). I killed them and ran on. Less than 5 minutes later my conceal is broken by some nunas. Slightly ticked, I re-conceal, and it gets broken by a red sentry spider that wasnt even on my radar. Of course it attacked me. After that I no longer used maskscent or conceal.
I also found the large amount of spam on my chat window extremely annoying considering it would spam messages from guildchat and friends off the chat window when I would run by lairs. Maybe you non-master rangers want that spam to know your getting closer, but personally I would like it to not be spammed, just like the wilderness exp from crafting a camp isn't spammed at me. Just be assured your getting exp by watching the skill bar going up and say no to spam.
Harvesting:
On the issues of harvesting, I do not understand the idea of reducing my harvesting ability globally, penalizing me for grouping with my pets (which I spent skill points on to be able to tame and use) or for that matter penalizing me for grouping with other scouts/rangers even though your allowing us both to loot now (something I always considered a bug in the first place). On Chilastra, all that has occurred is the jacking up of prices on the bazaar for meat and hides and bone.
Tracking:
I have also had the same issues with tracking as everyone else, but I am sure that the ranger dev knows all about it by now from previous posts. But, I would like to request that rangers get the ability to place a waypoint to one thing in the tracking list, and also increase the size of the list or allow us to more narrowly define the list.
Just an FYI: I would have been greatly inclined to start helping on TC if I could have copied my current character to the TC server.
