Thread: Stop Giving Away Your Harvests!
I agree Paks, the resource shifts and figuring out a reasonable price for the goods you sell, based on the quality of the goods and knowing the market is tough and a challenge and makes the game more fun!
I just want to say that I will never sell resources for less than I could have made running missions in the same amount of time. Time is money afterall. ![]()
Exactly. Thanks for making that point for me...
I simply wanted to let people know all of the factors I (emphasis on I) use to set my price. And I fully agree that you should never get less than what you could make running missions in the same amount of time.
I had a person try to sell me leather hides, 5k of them, with an OQ of 943 and a UT of 797, but every other number was below 200 and two were below 100 (SR 67), and he wanted 50k for the lot because of the OQ and that they came from Lok....
I tried to explain the numbers to him, but either he didn't get it or didn't care.
It boils down to one thing. If I agree with the price you set, I will buy. If I don't, I won't. Someone else may, and more power to you if you can find them. If you wish to haggle, great, I love that stuff. Puts the RPG into MMPORPG.
If someone else needs those particular numbers on hides, they WILL pay that amount for those hides, but no armorsmith will since SR needs to be up there to insure good experimentation.
Anyway, I just wanted to try to shed some light for the non-crafters out there. If you are ever in Moenia on Naboo in the Starsider galaxy, drop by my shop and buy something, PLEASE....
