The biggest problem (when the devs post that something is to change) seems to be that people either read the devs post and see what they think they want to see, then get po'd when thats not what turns up, or, they don't read the dev post but read something in a forum where somebody is replying to a half understood rumour which in itself has no foundation in anything the devs have actually said.
The devs are removing foraging. It was a minor skill with limited use that no longer fits into their vision for their game. We will still be able to get bait, onions, alu peth or whatever those corn on the cob stuff is called from lairs and NPC's.

Here's my beef, the In-Concept Thread by Thunderheart states foraging is going away becuase it no longer suits a purpose.
However, Helios_SOE confirmed in apost the other day what Scout would be losing.As I quote

Man scout used to be the most useful profession in the game. Now it seems like the most worthless. Shame too.
Why it became that way is due ta all the whinin' of fellas who wanted their POIs given to 'em on startup. Wanted ta get there quick-like. Wanted ta have no wounds or nothin' ta heal. Wanted ta call all their crap like droids and bikes whenever it suited 'em. Wanted ta harvest stacks n stacks of wooly and stuff and still pwn all. Wanted ta craft uberpetstims without havin' ta fish for it.
I feel for ya all. Ya used to be real important to the runnin' of the game. Hope this all comes back but I reckon it ain't. Too many fellas want their lvl 80 uberstaka ta do it all.
