Thread: Looking For A Scout Camp Macro

What does that say about you?
I could sit here and flame you, but why bother, you wouldn't understand half of what was said.

now go read the stickies, if you can find them"
You're supposed to be a representative of SWG... someone a bit above all the trivial "trash talking" that takes place on these boards. I'm sorry your post is an embarrassment and maybe you should consider cleaning up your act.
Totally agree.
It's not nice way to reply to someone's question be it a right or wrong question.
My take on it is although it may be wrong or stupid to macro xp, the survival column is incredibly boring and some of us only have a limited game time each day. It's kinda hard to get excited about using your few hours game time that day just sat in a camp.
So you could understand someone wanting to get that column out of the way pretty quick and get back to the things they enjoy.
I think a nice simple explanation of why it's not the done thing would have been easier and more polite.

Ok, as the new people don't know -
Macro camping is stupid. There is not a command to disband a camp. Camps max out in 21 minutes if you do nothing, yet do not dissolve until 51 minutes. That is a waste of 30 minutes, more or less.
A camp can be maxed totally, to include the monster uber Ranger camps, with 3 people doing something, in under 10 minutes.
The smartest thing to do is to sit in a camp and craft more camps while camping. Craft in practice mode.
Hey wait, all this info is in the stickies and the guide. So reading them would be a good thing.
This same stupid question has been asked and answered at least 100 times, go do a search if you doubt me.
Why spend time on the same question 100 times in a row when the poster is obviously a troll looking for the easy way out? I would rather help the new people who have questions, and I do, and I don't flame them at all. And as long as they don't ask for macros, they get help and advice.
Oh yeah, I represent me, not SOE. Ask Tiggs.
JB
Oh Thompson.
You had to come in here and post this question.

Well personally I'd bet pounds to doughnuts as I'm English. But I'd be horrified if I thought than one person was put off a forum by my ill mannered reply. Maybe 4 out of 5 people ask stupid or lazy questions but is it worth putting of the 5th by being rude. In the time it takes to type a surley or rude answer you can input a short and standard reply.
Yes there are stickies and lots of other posts unfortunately someone new to the boards (look at me an 18 monther in gamewith 43 posts?) does not understand how it all works. Is it not worth the odd wasted reply to a lazy poster to encourage someone new?
I think, in this case, it was more a combination of things.
I mean, a person with over 7600 POSTS.... That persons should KNOW to read the STICKIES first...
I'm only on 500 posts, and even I know to read the stickiest first and if I can't find it or something is unclear, then I ask it ![]()
So in fact this whole thread is going about nothing, nowhere very fast.
