If you have novice artisan and some basic cooking skills, there are some advanced recipes that call for meat. As for myself, I can whip up a tasty batch of "meat biscuits" (exo-protein wafers) for extended treks into the wild. Other than that, if the quality of the meat isn't really that good I'll destroy it after I harvest it for xp. I try to save the higher quality stuff for my bazaar sales.

realize how easy it is to add a profession. if people are charging 10cr for something that takes 5 minutes to go out and shoot and harvest, whats stopping them from doing that?

dont kill our profession because some suckers dont realize how easy it is to get these resources. how else will scouts make money then? besides destroy missions. thats not what a scout is designed to do.

ever think that the people that buy it just don't feel like going out and scouting it? same on EQ really... anyone can go and farm spidersilk and bone chips, but if they have the money and don't feel like it, i'll sell mine to them

Meat has MUCH better attributes for making pharmaceuticals than bone or hide do. I haven't sold anything throught the bazaar yet, but given how easy it is to get thousands of credits with delivery missions, I don't think 5-10 cr per unit is all that expensive. As more cash comes into the economy, prices will drop. Especially once crafters start realizing how much they can sell stuff for.
