Thread: SCOUT CORRESPONDENT UPDATE WEEK 2
The Devs (the Scout dev and the others) were arguing about this the other day, according to the Scout dev, because they wanted to provide a means to gain XP for scouting that isn't one-time-use only.
I had originally suggested both the odometer and a similiar version of the one that you brought up. They are working now to incorporate the Exploration incentive into the new Scout Terminals. If I recall correctly (my email is down due to a "server migration" so I can't check exactly), they would setup missions for NPCs or through terminals that required you to go to certain places and get the XP that way.
I'll keep you updated as I learn more.

Delta,
Instead of scout terminals have the scout and ranger trainers offer the missions. that would add some roleplaying to the game instead of that mindless terminal. They can add an other option to the trainers radial that accesses the terminal window. but it adds a better feel to the game. They need to have profession missions given out by the trainers, something like that. The world will be overrun by terminals soon.
I think it might just be a good idea instead of getting exp for traveling around and worring about the odometer, is to get exp from climbing, and swimming make these things trainable so that not everyone can get to a certain area unless they have trained in this exp. Then say when you have climbed this boulder or whatever you get exp. plus then you can have creatures that are more elder and gain more exp. Thats my thought.
A wise monkey never monkeys with another monkeys monkey.
Huh,
That's a good idea. I'll bring that up.
The Devs are actively working on the explore XP. I'll mention these ideas to our dev.
