Fishing XP is supposed to be added I believe, currently none is awarded.

As far as fishing goes, these are the basic steps:

1. Equip pole

2. Bait pole by dropping bait onto pole in inventory

3. Use /fish command to cast and fish

4. Fish action progress: Wait... Nibble .... BITE!

As far as your actions, the fishing window should appear and refresh with bait status. When a BITE occurs, I have used a couple different patterns of the commands givento catch and reel it in. Most of the end reeling is automatic.
