the guy didn't even ask for the stats when he offered his price for the units of milk.

heheh, yea it's a little lame, kinda boring, and rather slow.
But there is a purpose. Chefs will pay well for some decent, not even great, but decent milk. Mostly they care about the PE. But I have easily sold medium quality milk for 30cpu. That's pretty much the standard rate I sell it for. They will take it as long as the PE is usually at least 400. If the PE is rather high like 700+ I have seen chefs offer 60=100 cpu for it. I believe that it's needed for the Vasarian Brandy everyone loves, and the blue milk, that I know of.
What works out nice is when a good meat or hide spawn is also milkable. Because for a little more time, you can greatly increase your money per animal.

Partly right. It IS used in blue milk, but Brandy doens't need any milk.Alot of the higher level foods require subcomponents which in turn require milk. Bantha butter for Pikatta Pie being one example. When put into a subcomponent the stats amount to nothing. Quantity is more important for these. The higher stat batches can bring more money, and can be used where their stats are important. But any chef would never turn down an offer of milk. And ya don't always have to sell it. Work out some barter system. Milk for Veghash (harvest bonus) or Synthsteak (dmg reduction). Just some advice.

what is the typical CPU for milk? I sold some for 5 cpu yesturday on shadowfire using the auction channel. By how quickly it was snatched me thinks i could have been more.
I go for an average price on my milk sales. On Corbantis, there's a chef vendor south of Coronet with a standing offer of 50 cpu for ANY milk, as long as the stack is 1k or better. Probably I could make more money by retailing the good stuff, but this is simple easy money.

I am a Chef/BE/scout (For harvesting). Let me tell you, Milk is very important to Chef's and the same for BE's. There is always a need for Milk.
As far as getting it, I recomend doing what I did. go out into the hunting planets with a friend scout. Grab a bunch of misions from the ternminals (make sure they are milkable creatures). Go to the spawn, milk them all, kill and harvest, tap mound, repeat, destory mound, get money. It is a win/win/win thing to do.

Be sure your milking the females, not the males.
I think you ment money. The thing is, this is a GREAT way for beginners to make easy money with nothing but /maskscent. no armor needed, no buffs, no weapons. and i typcially can get 100 units out of just a Kaduu spawn/lair.

For some reason, I just can't bring myself to milk. I just can't do it. Tried once, then thought... what am I doing? OMG I'm MILKING!! No offense to anyone intended, as there is no dishonor in it at all. I simply isnt for me-- at any cost. I'll get my monkey somewhere else.

I'll tell you what, I thought the milking thing was kinda funny at first, so I kept at it for a while, in the end of it I came out with 1.2k naboo milk, also turned out that due to a good flavor or Qaulity <cant remember> a chef was so excited, he payed me with a fresg FACTORY CRATE of good brandy.... milk for booze? Anyday. I'll keep that up LOL.

LOL milk for booze
Duh, let me think about that...sure
For milk, you need the large stacks to get the Chefs interest, since they are probly going to jsut plug it into a factory for components.

I have been away from the game awhile, and I come back to find that I can milk (females). My question is how do I tell a female creature from a male creature in the game? Yea, I know how to tell in RL
(thought I'd throw that in before someone else did).
