It's okay, you should see what happens when they're feeling grumpy and fractious. There was this rancor posted in here once, well...

While I don't REALLY have a problem with people posting this sort of stuff here, in the end I don't know exactly how much visibility you're going to get.
The trade forums on your on boards are much more useful, or you could always turn it into a player event and throw it up on the main boards.
Make it a competition- you'll pay 100 cpu for herb meat, and whoever brings you the largest stack gets a 500k bonus, or something. Give them a timeline.
Then it's a player event and you all benefit.

I think you were right to post what critters. Sometimes even us Rangers need to have our memories refreshed. Just last night, Phenix asked me what on Corellia gives Carnivore meat, and I had to look it up since I hadn't hunted there in so long.
I will ahve to agree though, that your Galaxy's Trade Forum is a better place for this. I wish you good luck in finding a Hunter.

Three things...
1) Fodder... I'm going to assume the cats sleeping with dogs comment was not geared towards any Bothans
2) Corellia's Sharnaffs are great for carnivore meat... gathered 20k in like an hour and a half of hunting wild lairs
3) Mutant Kahmurra's are the best source of herb meat per minute in my experience.

Mutant Kahmurras do not hold a flame to either bordoks or gleaming lantern birds. Besides, the xp is better and so is the mission pay.
When I log back on some noob medic is gonna get a gift of 3k worth of herb meat. Lucky noob.

Thank you, Calculus, for your polite reply. I am apalled at my fellow Rangers for the rude responses given to Dadas. I am sure he was just trying to cover all his bases to maximize his business. And I agree with you about posting the list of critters that drop the meat. It is just possible that some of us, even long-time rangers, need a refresher every now and then.

oh cmon fellas, the spamboards are notoriously full of loot spam that has nothing to do with hunting; they should have a resource trade board for each server. The search function on these boards is the most tedious and least effective i have EVER experienced. I end up scrolling through spam from years ago when I use the search function, and I end up scrolling through dorkwads selling junk that doesnt interest me when ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT IS IN SHIFT AT THE HIGHEST PRICE!

Yeah, but this is not the board to do it. Imagine if you had 10 crafters from each server posting here and bumping. There would be no end to the noise. This is not a trade forum and it shouldn't be.

Wow! I really started something here.
I've avoided posting to let this thread die, but you folks keep bumping it back up again
Really- I get the point. My name will never be seen again on this forum.
PS: Thanks to those of you who tempered the not so nice invitations to visit the trade forums.

maybe so, but just because it doesn't exist doesn't mean you should try to make the scout/ranger forums into those forums.
some quick advise? try doing an in-game search, or do /chatjoin RIN .You stand a better chance of getting me to kill for you if I know you're an okay person. I don't do contracts for strangers because, quite frankly, they're often idiots. 3 weeks ago I had someone on the opposite side of Rori offer to pay me 5k...for 8 units of hide. I tried explaining that it wasn't much, he could kill one critter and get that himself. Eventually, he started yelling about what a crappy Ranger I was, and blah blah blah, he was gonna pwn me when he got TKA.
Long story short, people we don't know are suspicious. people who invade our forums are rude.
I can respect the people who want to defend these actions, saying their coverting all their bases. I respect that you think it's an okay part of the Ranger forum. Me? I think it's a waste of space. "covering your bases" would mean making contact IIN-GAME. putting a little effort into finding what you need. "covering your bases" isn't putting your auctioun in a proffession forum. When I have a lot of good avian, I don' post about it on the doc forums. I simply walk up to a doctor and say "how much would you love me if I told you I had a 22k stack of that uber avian?"
but off topic, I'm getting flashbacks to my childhood.
i can still hear booboo saying "uh-oh Yogi...somebody called the Rangers."

You don't have to run away. Just realize that this forum is for discussion more than trade. If every crafter came in here when they wanted organic resources then this forum would be very similar to the old galaxy forums (the ones before they added the trade forums). After enough crafters come here, some of us get a bit grumpy
