For the last little while, I have been taking on Foaming Vynocks on Talus. The are yellow to me (one box away from Master Scout) and give me 821 pistol experience. My method is as follows:

Make sure mask scent is up, get to 45M distance and throw a P.dart to slow it down. If the P.dart fails, then keep throwing them until it hits. Next hit it with a healthshot2 and then keep plugging away with bodyshot2 until it's dead. They rarely make it close enough to touch me...

The longest range is 64 meters. It is possible to throw and hit from this far away, too.

are you sure about that delta? i have tried to throw traps with my wookiee from 60m which is my rifle ideal range, but he will not throw them. only when i get within 50m will a trap actually launch. this would make a little sense because it would be kind of hard to throw something that far. has anyone actually been able to throw traps successfully from the 50-64m range?

I've been able to hit from 64. Maybe it's all that hair getting in the way?

This is exactly the same for me. At 51m it won't throw but at 50m off it goes. Hunting blues this means I have to throw first and then shoot as I generally one shot blues.

me thinks maybe delta knows of some exploit, huh? he does have that inside connection with 'the man'.

More likely answer is that I've got my head up my ass. I'll check it tonight to be sure.
