Oh right, and number eight is kind ofa touchy issue. I fully understand that this is compiled by input from scouts, but Knowing you are a ranger as well, I think you will understand.


How can the scouts ask for more traps, when the rangers have crap for traps? We only have 2, and they are not very useful. My bread butter for traps, at master ranger, is Phecnacine dart, glow wire, and adhesive mesh. All of which are scout traps. I'm not saying that scout should have more traps at all, but the ranger profession needs some before scout get them. Thats all.

maybe we should just get maskscent while mounted as master scouts? to knock off those dabblers?

That's not a bad idea Hakai. You could even give that ability to novice rangers as well. There are a lot of different ways we can try to prevent xp abuse without nerfing our entire profession.

This is a super idea. Another reason to be a master scout.


A lot of CHs think they should be able to see CLs just because they're CHs, but I have always disagreed.Master Scout needs to have a few serious perks to make it desirable.

Yeah that was ridiculous Hakai! Of course we didn't have any commandos or anything so we did the best we could. We killed it even if it did take awhile!

I responded in the other post about this, but briefly - allowing us to mask our scent on bikes at Master Scout isn't really a perk, because it's completely unnecessary. All it does is let those Master Scouts who are going Ranger use vehicles to level quickly that way, which defeats the purpose of removing it.


Let's come up with some valuable Master Scout perks - I can guarantee that TH and the gang will be happy to hear them.

I don't think I was understood. When I say I'm against nerfing ourselves with maskscent not working on vehicles, I don't mean that I'm for getting easy scouting xp. I got mine the hard way so that isn't my problem. Brisc I know you asked the community whether to include that into the Top 10 list and I'll give you the same reasons I'm against it here like I did then.

Maskscent, as far as I'm concerned, is the best thing we have. The other night I was on Dathomir looking around, and there wasn't a minute I wasn't grateful that I had that ability. What else do we have? Trapping? Big deal. Ranger's traps suck. PvP abilites? No. Camoflauge against NPC's? No. Effective fishing? No again. Maskscent is the best we have and we have just voluntarily asked to nerf ourselves. I think we cut off our nose to spite our face. Yes some people abused it on vehicles so now we punish all of us? It just doesn't make sense. We might as well say we are getting to much from our harvest so let's cut it by half. I think this is a huge mistake and it will only lead to worse things. I do appreciate Brisc asking us before he did this but it saddens me that the community agreed to it. But that is just my opinion.

Delta, that's not 100% true. Here's a couple of examples:


1) I was hunting on Endor a few days back, and Ihadn't bothered tomask my scent, as I was on a swoop. So, there I am, weaving through the trees, when *WAP!* - an Arachne (which I hadn't even seen on my radar) lays a viciouspoison on me as I fly by. No chance to detour, because it spawned right under me. If I'd been masked, all would have been good(or at least, Iwould've had a chance to get past unharmed). Instead I get to spend the rest of the journey stopping and dismounting every 20 seconds, because you can't heal ona bike.


2) Also Endor - not my favourite place . This has a happier ending for me, but not the twopeople who got totallyannihilated when about 8 arachnes who broke my maskscent come piling into the campsite I just flew through - hehe,sorry guys


Now, I'm not suggesting that things like this are a good enough reason to allow the xp 'exploit' - in fact, I don't think they are. But to suggest that Mask Scent on a bike is totally irrelevant is perhaps a little over-simplistic, IMO.

Well, I don't know... I think it's impossible for us to keep maskscent on vehicles without a few people using it to level. I do agree that there are some positives to the way we have it now, but why not balance it out by letting us maskscent ON a mount? I think this has been discussed before, but...

Why not see if you can keep mask scent while on a vehicle but have it not give xp? That way you still get the beneficial effects but you couldn't use it for quick and easy way to "cheat" through your xp.

Howdy all -


Just a thought here, but what about storage? Has this issue already been discussed and I missed it? I currently have three small houses with just hides/bone/food that I'm adding to and subtracting from as I get quanities that I can sell on the bazaar. Has there ever been a discussion in here about Scouts/ranger being able to get a special form of storage facility? Like a warehouse (also could be good for artisians) or some form of ground storage spot (like a bank I guess.)


Maybe I'm missing something simple here, if so let me know what Y'all do. This has been my biggest El Guapo since I started seriously selling my (and other players) harvests.


Maybe this should be another thread.
