Mastering ANY profession isa long process that takes a lot of hard work and effort. Everyone who makes it to Master Scout should be very proud of themselves for putting in the time to do it.

We may be a starting profession, but that doesn't make the achievement any less significant. I'm sure that I made Master Scout before 90% of you, but that fact doesn't take away from the fact that I'm still very proud and happy to welcome each new Master Scout into our fold.

Congratulations. I just made Master Scout tonight, myself.

Call me crazy, but my initial reaction upon receiving the Master Scout title was....disappointment. As much as I couldn't stand the grinding, part of me will miss it. A lot of the scout skills just aren't very applicable to what I plan on doing. Sure, the mask scent and terrain navigation will come in handy, as well as the ability to make my own tents as gather supplies on the run. But I don't plan on spending long hours camping, which I'll mainly miss because of the interesting people I met while hanging out in the wilderness all those hours.

I also probably won't use trapping, except for a one or two of the more powerful ones like thePhecnacine dart (sp?). Only if I'm in a group though. As I've moved up the Marksman tree, and gained better weapons, I find it easier just to bleed shot a creature and attack one ham bar, than to chuck a trap in the middle of a fight. Besides, I'd rather get that first shot in with a powerful blow, than with a trap that may likely fail.

Marksman will feel more like an accomplishment to me. But that's because I'll be using most of the skills in that tree on a day to day basis. More so as I move onto the next skill trees that contain similar abilities. Maybe scout skills can become more applicable to gaming in general for the Master Scout later on. Perhaps when the Scout missions get implemented.
