Thread: Somewhat sad to see it end.
Guys,
Okay, okay. Break it up. ![]()
We understand the situation. I think Displeased simply needs to figure out what he wants to do. Let's try and help him with some suggestions, not critique his English.
Because I sure as hell don't want you critiquing mine! ![]()

Sorry Delta,
Just dont buy it.... Especially when someone 'needs' to go to another server to be 'fullfilled'. If making camps is an aspect of the game that you really like.... what, you're going to stop because it no longer gives you xp? What a bunch of crap.
If you feel that you have 'exhausted' this game after only a month of playing, either
1: You have explored ALL the profesions and factions-- which means you really should get out and watch a play, or read a book.
or
2: You've powerlevelled without really delving into the amazing complexities of this game.
Anyone with his little 'signoff', or who uses the word 'fanboy' - is a whiner, imo. Let him go- Here's his hat, and i hope the door doesnt bang him in the ass on his way out to another server.

Kali,
Not a peacenik, just a politician. ![]()
Plus I like the Scout boards remaining constructive. Unlike every other single board out there for some reason. Kinda sad really. I don't get what it is about some people - they can't have fun unless they spoil someone elses. Thank God we're not like that here.

I know..constructive..but I just have to...

Am I the only Master Scout that didn't "grind" anything to get there?
I just played they game. I'm a pretty casual gamer too. And I got Master Scout about 2½ weeks ago.
I just don't get people who think they need to do ONE tree at a time. Just play, don't worry about grinding, and ALL the XP comes at once.
Darth,
I didn't grind to Master Scout either. But I'm going to have to for Master Ranger. The requirements just make it nearly impossible. If I don't, I'm going to sit at frontiering 3 for three weeks, while the rest of my skills are maxed.

I really think it's to bad they make this game so easy, that people are making master scout so easily. I thought this was going to be something that took years to accomplish, if I was lucky. This is telling me this is just another one of those Kid games to play, then move on to something else (the next game.) I have played a game now for four years, and Inever tired of it because I new there was still another level to achieve. I hope they design this in a familiar way.
I didn't get this game to finish in a hurry. I want to play this for a long time to come, make this game harder, not easier or it's senseless to continue I need something to look forward to doing in the future, I hope they advance this game by making the road harder, and the rewards greater for time to come.
I get a little stressed now and again seeing how slowly I'm inching toward the skills I next need to focus on. Then I look around me at the fun people I get to adventure with, take a deep breath and just let it come. I'll get there. I'd rather enjoy getting there, then enjoy being there, then enjoy going whereever I'm going next. This isn't my job, after all. It's just one of the ways I have fun. Well, lately the only way ... %&*$% addictive game.
Cig,
Whoa. I thought I was going blind there for a minute. Then I realized - that's some mighty big font there, big guy!
Your point is valid- to a certain extent.
The developers, especially in an MMORPG have a lot of cross purposes that they must work through. The games are designed to have multiple year (2+) shelf lives, each added to by expansion packs. So they've got to - as you say - make the game tough so that people keep playing.
At the same time, they can't make it too tough, because then people will quit because it seems impossible to reach their goals.
Then you've got the question of powergamers vs. casual players. I like to think that I am a "casual powergamer", as I generally play 4-5 hours per day, and more on the weekends, but I have a job and don't have time to play 24/7 for the summer. So the Devs need to make it fun for both the powergames and casual players.
I like to think that the reason they have the professions and the factions set up the way they do is to focus on that. Once you get your profession maxed out, you can start PvPing more, and doing more faction related stuff. I expect that given another month or two (at the current rate - which I KNOW won't stay as high as it as...I've got too much work coming in Sept.) I'll have my character maxed, but I won't be even close to maxing out the Imperial ranking tree. That, and my PA, will give me my next goals.
The other thing that's great about MMORPGs is that they KNOW they need to keep interesting for the older players to remain, as well as for the newer players too. So the will continually add content and making changes to make the game tougher and more fun down the road. Look at EQ - it's been around for a long time and is still growing strong.
