Thread: Fishing confusion
Here's something new that I started doing to streamline the fishing process. Fishing is an active thing, you can't start a macro then come back with an inventory full of fish, you have to keep paying attention, but... what I did recently is make two buttons on the F-Key bar thing for it.
One button is the fishing pole, to equip and unequip it.
Another button is a macro with one line "/fish". This cast your line for you.
That way you can hit F1 to switch to your fishing pole, then F2 to start fishing, without having to open your inventory window. Also, I took up fishing near lairs of aggressive creatures (weak ones, but...) and by using mask scent in combination with fishing you get two types of exp at once. Even if they're on the other side of the river it seems to give a bit of exp. I guess that makes it even more important to have your fishing pole equipped on a f-key, so you can switch back and forth to your weapon in case mask scent fails. ![]()
