Awesome idea.. A lot of work, but as a long term project, sounds great!
Only problem I see with it.. Does ANYONE have ANY IDEA exactly how resource shifts work for our resources? I haven't noticed a shift on Starsider for about a week with animal resources (which sucks.. I can't find HQ herb. meat.. my medics are unhappy
)
I think you should delegate the resource quality section.. here's an idea
Post an announcement on every server board recruiting scouts/rangers (I'd be more than happy to help on SS). Each scout could send you an email with a list of current res quality (again though.. only really practical if we had a clue when resources were shifting)

What I envision is that I delegate the work, as you say. When you notice a resource shift, you mail me the new stats on stuff, and I update the pages based on that. The only way I've found to easily notice a resource shift is to see when you suddenly start getting a separate stack of resources.
It's taking shape fairly well right now, I've got it producing one page per planet/server combination, with two select boxes up top to let you pick which you want to view. I'm working on generating the resource lists, plus their attributes, but I'm currently working kinda blind, because I've got none of that info handy. If anyone would care to post or PM me with the attributes for a couple of resources for a given server/planet, I can test it with 'real' data rather than stuff I make up.

Excellent. The code is fetching data from the database correctly, and formatting it correctly, or so it seems. The HTML it outputs is pretty ugly, I'm afraid. I'm currently attempting to put my sample output up, but my hosting company's FTP server is running slower than Bestine on National Pet Day.

Ok, last post on this in this thread... my machine just dropped off the face of the 'net, so it'll have to wait an hour until I get home to get it back online. I'll make a new thread at that time to demo the system, including the Starsider/Talus stats kindly donated by Droopu.
