Hakai, wonderful ideas. I really like the idea of making camps REAL staging areas, and giving non-combat profs roles in camps that enhance their skills and make them useful in the field.
My greatest gripe about SWG is that there is so much potential in it to make it darn close to a virtual reality, and it's fallen so short of that potential in so many ways. I've felt way this since my first day in beta...that the potential is there. After playing it for over a year, it's sad that the potential can't be met, apparently due to structural changes in the project and the ravenous desire of the MBAs running this thing for more hookers and booze.

Wow...I love that food pot idea, brilliant.
An addition to that could be squad leader speeches, since camps would be the staging area for combat why not let the squad leader rally them up in the process, just a minor buff.

My idea would be to make Foraged foods a VITAL component to foods like Brandy and Bivoli. THat way we can feel really needed... till all the chefs realise they have a spare 17 SP....

can't make them vital, because they're too random, and it just takes way too many tries to get the ones you need.
not only that but then suddenly we'd have chefs banging down out door because they won't be able to make crates of food anymore. lol
as for the squadleader rally speech idea...I like it. *your squad leader gives a rallying speech! +20% bonus against intimidation*

it's what Delta has been talking to the devs about. Honestly i would ike for us to have our foraged goods required, but like i said, there would be hell to pay if it did.

I dunno, i like foraging for bait (Own a baitshop on the souther tatooine oasis)
But i just put all the food on my vendor and it gets no uses.
Maybe a 1/1000 chance of foraging something rare? or maybe treasure maps? (that work)
