Ahh mine just started breaking really fast. Whenever i see a red on radar my mask scent breaks but i don't get the "a creature has detected you despite your attemps at masking your scent" (something like that)

PErhaps a related problem: I get no XP for using Mask Scent. I tried going through a pack of mutan womp rats. Mask Scent didn't break and no creatures noticed me (no signs above their heads, no system message about MS breaking), but I didn't get any XP either. No, I'm not capped -- I only just got Exploration II (again) and I have perhaps 300 scouting XP.

Seemed to break a lot more than usual last night post patch and that's with 126 skill.

Alsowent to the Narg cave to look for the POIbadge... popped my head in a bit and after 50-70m had to turn tail and run from a female with an attitude. Mask was still up and I didn't get any warning message.

Was it lag or was it bugged ?

Couldn't get teh badge either by the way... it showed as being outside the cave but got nothing. POIs are a bit messed up atm I guess.

I'm walking thru the squill cave on tatooine with +70 mask scent, exploration 4, if I even look at a squill wrong, they aggro me, with mask scent on.....something is definitely wrong

Caves are weird things - it is probably the dynamics of the cave, rather than mask scent, that is buggy. Have you had problems out in the open?

Well - seeing as how those are uber CL critters, I hope you'd get a broken mask scent once in a while.

Lemme talk to N'Raas and see if he's having any Rangers with similiar issues.

Here are my experiences with mask scent since the latest patch:

On Tatooine, I had no problems at all while exploring around on my dewback (not galloping, since I was taking my time to check all creatures I came across.)

I later went to Endor and did the exact same thing and again with no problem. Even nabbed an arachne webmaster baby who knew I was after him and decided to take shelter among no less than 4 other adults.

Then went to Lok to explore some more, just like before and I couldn't even stand still without mask scent breaking. Density of mobs was no different. Traveling speed was no different (in fact it was slower). Level of mobs was much lower (with the exception of the 2 kimo's who both broke mask scent, but no surprise there).

Perhaps this is a localized problem and why we are seeing so many different experiences? Less likely is a bad streak on the random number generator for successful MS rolls, but I've never seen one continue to occur for many hours.

Hope this helps narrow this one down.

I have noticed both an increase of being detected and the fact I will be attacked with maskscent not even being broken.
