I sell my bone/hide in 100 units for 1000cr and I always sell it fast. That is a fair price. It takes a long time to collect 100 units. I could run delivery missions for 1000cr faster than it takes me to collect 100 units of hide/bone.
The crafters like to come on the Scouting message board and tell us how little our hide/bone are worth and that we are overcharging....yet they still buy at 10cr per unit
