Oh, I know that Ken. I was just feeling a bit... saucy. I play a full on nothing but Entertainer on Bria actually, you should stop by Coronet and say hi sometimes. She's a full Master Entertainer / MasterDancer / Master Musician / Master ID actually. AND a hot Twi'lek girl at that too!
It's just rather difficult NOT to get at least somewhat frustrated since it looks like what started as a "balancing of combat" has since gone soooo far beyond that, and is touching things that probably never needed to be touched (at least not by the CURB) and would have been better done later. I agree that Docs probably more than anyhting else needed to be included in "combat balance" due to the nature of "God mode buffs" and all, and some changes were obviously going to come with weapon and armor smiths due to changes in combat, armor and weapons. I'm trying very hard to stay open minded and keep a stiff upper lip and all that, but when I hear about a post CU balance of all the non-combat professions... what's left, Ranger, Scout, Chef and Tailor? Oh yah, Architect too. Pretty much everything else is already getting fairly majorly overhauled, poked, prodded, updated, changed (and possibly folded and spindled too), including some professions that are only very tangentially related to Combat (the only things Entertainers have to do with Combat is mind .... errr... Inspiration buffs now).
Most of my posts have been advocating a "wait and see" approach as we're all leveling up on TC-EP3 and working towards Ranger. Wait and see if Ranger gives any CL or health bonus, wait and see if Scout or Ranger traps are any good in the new postCU world, etc. I think we're starting to see the answer to those questions now, and the answers don't look good. But I want us to have the facts before we go off that proverbial deep end.
At least I have something to do on Live now - I'm furiously getting the final few components I need to make as many different recyclers as I possibly can, as well as stockpiling as much different hide and such as I can. I think it'll make me quite popular in the months ahead.

Hey Delta or JB, are we still under NDA not to say anything about what went on during alpha?

Sure they will delta.
There just is no real use for camping built into the game. They did away with it.
Camps were for: healing wounds, being portable med centers except for BF
Instead: droids and Player cantinas, Buffs that made wounds not matter
Post CU: no wounds but health and only docs can heal them
so what use is camping going to be except for RP.
i would love to see weather effects and camps provideing shelter from them (hell this is what I thought happened, I remember many a tat sandstorm I pulled out my camp and waited for it to pass) but I really doubt this will happen.

I would assume that until Beta is over we can't say squat about specifics that were discussed during Alpha,
Notice - discussed was the verb used. To let everyone know, no active testing was done during alpha.
On this theme, I am still waiting for my freaking password for EP3 beta. Seems they are continuing to ignore Scouts/rangers.

"We're constantly re-evaluating our design decisions and listen carefully to player feedback. We changed our stance on Rangers contributing to combat level and will be adding that into the calculation. In the near future you will see your Scout and Ranger skills add to your Combat Level. =)" <-- From the chat last night.
Perhaps things will not be as bad as expected. Still not perfect but at least a step in the right direction.
