Thread: Urgent Need Help
Don't expect THIS ranger to go stealing; I'll be too busy figuring out how to make the ranger traps work on creature hunts (given how many people seem to delight in getting mass creature aggro, it'll probably be easier than I think).

My alt OF COURSE started out as a scout, and his first goal was to master scout. It's the only way.
Of course, the final template is MBH/MCH, with 0020 medic and 0004 artisan (he's the CL 80 surveyor for those dangerous worlds like Endor, Yavin, and Dathomir) so no room for master scout there, but before he took up BH, he was master scout/master marksman, about as old school as you can make it without giving up vehicles/starships to cut down on the time of the invest grind.

Now it's just grind groups. Whoosh, off to Lok or Dant and get in a spin group. They don't even know to stay with the group once they've maxxed XP and need training until the wave of critters from the lair stops and everyone gets a chance to heal and train. There's just speeders shooting back to town to get trained up, heck, even group leaders will just take off for training, knocking everyones mission levels out of kilter if he goes up a level or four.

We were Rangers.
So I am asked at least once a day by guildies if my alt will become a Ranger. After a lengthy discussion about Rangering today with a guildie I have known literally since about day 5, the answer can only be - Hell no.
Master Scout will become the new FOTM, just for the monkey making potential. Add two combat profs to it, or one and most of one, and you will kick butt and there is no need to take names, just harvest harvest harvest. 1 million unit piles are not rare, they will become commonplace.
You think economies are whacked now? Wait until the Scout community realizes they can flood the markets. No, the old timers won't - it will be the noobs doing it. Then they will leave disgusted, and the rest of us will make more monkey.
Anyone want to bet on this?

On a side note I wrote the word cookiee in an email and sat staring at the email for like 3 minutes, trying to figure out why the spell checker was telling me it was wrong.

Pub 24 is going live, the servers are down and I am bored senseless.
Guess this does mean with SL outta the way the much feared regnar revamp, turning a fine profession into thieves, will be in the works. I don't count the expansion, but realize that the coders will be hard at work fixing the broke stuff for a week or three.
I was going to level my alt through Master Scout in less than 4 hours today, but the pub got in the way. Worse, I got called into work yesterday and had no time to level the main another box in lightstick. Man, I have got to lay off work.
And y'all best watch out for the cookiees, they are addictive. Zingers aren't though...lol.
