I am soooo close yet so far away from being a master scout. All I need is 200 apprentice exp!!! The question I have for all of you is where did you get your apprentice exp? I have been mainly playing solo and been out in the wild all the time so I haven't been teaching people as much as had I grouped.

I am not whining about apprentice exp but sheeeshhhhh I sure wish I had 200 more then I have right now!!! . Being a soloist that plays wierd hours and only an hour here and there makes getting apprentice exp rather difficult.

Who do I go see for the final step to Master Scout? Just a regular scout trainer? Now the question I am asking myself as well is what do I do next? Ranger? BE? CH? Smuggler? BH? So tell me what you guys are looking forward to play!!!

Ald,

I was kind of lucky - I got in the game early and trained a lot of people in skills. Then I got famous - first for the guide, and now for being a correspondent (and also for wearing my Master Scout title at all times) and I'm constantly getting tells asking for training.

But the best way, really, is to advertise like Raf said above - yell your skills, wait for someone to need them. Also, pay attention in cantinas and med centers, and be quick on the invite button.

I was planning on going ranger, but I keep getting distracted... Think Mule was sayin the same thing in another post. Anyway, the biggest thing about apprentice XP is being open and friendly with folks. Setting up your character profile so people can search you out will help - as well as hanging out in your city's hot-spots. Hotels, cantinas, med centers, hospitals, etc. Good luck.

Well I was spamming in the City I just needed App XP and some really nice fellow said that he had some Artisan XP that he wasnt goint to use. He Told me to train him and then he would forget the skills and I could retrain him. Like you I was about 200 points away. This was real nice of him, took about 5 minutes and I rewarded him well for his trouble.

Maybe you will get lucky and find someone that will do that for you. I plan on doing that for the next guy if the opportunity arrises.

As for Master scout training, just a regular scout trainer can do that.

how did you master survival? I have about 840 apprenticeship experience and all i need is 640 to master scout. I am a master marksman though already and a lot of people want those skills on my server.

Apprentice XP is the easiest XP you can get. I reached the max you can possibly get (1240) only halfway through my Scout tree. That's enough for Master Scout and Ranger, so I'm pretty much set .

Btw I'm really close to Master Scout as well, just 12k of scout xp to go.

All I do is go by mission terminals, and all the hot spots, and say the skills I have. People tip me, but I usually tip people for allowing me to train them, depending on the skill.

I was in the same boat as you. Really close to master scout and only had like 100 app. xp. I went to bestine and used "/shout training all scout skills except survival 4, pistol 1-4, surveying 1-4, engineering 1-3, no charge". I left after a few hours with over 900 app. xp. The trick is to not be rude by using all caps, or constantly spamming it. I just waited til it scrolled off my screen, pressed the ctrl button and the up arrow and scrolled up what I had said in the mean time til I found it again then hit enter to shout it again. I did get a few tips which was nice but I was mainly after the app. xp. I now have enough app. xp to master a second profession and almost a third lol. I got master scout and that was that.

BTW, you do not need to go to the scout trainer to learn master scout. I learned from a master scout friend of mine in game. You can learn that skill from any other master scout. If you are on Ahazi and need master scout, send me a pm/email and I'll hook you up

I've never had to shout. Since release, anytime someone shouted they needed training by the bank, I always gave it to them. Also, when you're friends start late, it helps

BTW, when training for Novice Ranger (or any other Advanced Profession) do you need to use the NPC trainer or can a PC do it for you? I'm just 8 full camps away from being eligible for Master Scout and Novice Ranger. Even have the XP to get the first rank in Ranger Trapping.

Stupid Survival XP. : P

Whenever you're in town (any town), just keep your ears peeled for that low, keening sound, the sound of noobies, who need heeeelp. "Please help me." They will say, and you will help them, and advance your apprentice points in the process.

Also, in the tougher places, you can advertise your skills, hit a macro, or up arrow the message a few times (make sure to space them apart so you aren't spamming).

Took me 30 minutes to get 500 or so I needed for master scout.

Gargs,

All novice skills - whether that's novice scout or novice ranger- require a visit to an NPC trainer. Novice basic professions will cost you 100 credits. Novice hybrid or elite profesions will cost you 5000 credits.
