Thread: Noob question....Bones and Hides on the Bazaar
Great guys thanks......I dont care to rip people off I just wanna get a little something for them....since I could never make as many traps and tents as i get bones and hides...hehe......So to make alittle money is cool....but believe me the etra 100 credits is not worth knowing i ripped somone off, so I was looking for a decent price to sell at and I think the consensus is 3 credit/hide.......Thanks everyone for your input.....Now go forth and bring pirde to the rebellion (or Empire if for some reason you got evil tendancies)

Despite your terrorist leanings, I'll give you my pricing guide:
1.) Sell in lots of 250, 500, 1000
2.) For overall quality 1-800, 3 credits per hide/bone/meat.
Example: Lot of 1000 Lokian leathery hide, Overall quality of 567 sells for 3000 credits.
3.) For overall quality 800-899, 5 credits per hide/bone/meat. Don't sell high quality hide in lots larger than 500, because you'll smack into the 3000 bazaar cap.
Example: Lot of 500 Nabooian bristly hide, Overall quality of 858 sells for 2500 credits.
4.) For overall quality 900-999, 7 credits per hide/bone/meat. Don't sell highest quality hide in lots larger than 125.
Example: Lot of Dathomirian leathery hide, Overall quality 999, sells for 1750 credits.
You can adjust the fees slightly, depending on the market. But I have made multiple sales - usually within one or two days - with these prices.
You are also going to want to put these up on bazaars with high traffic. Theed, Moenia, Bestine, Mos Eisley, Coronet, etc.

I use a 3-4-5 cpu rule depending on OQ, SR, how hard was it to acquire, etc. I sell lots of multiples of 100 because it's easier for crafters to buy stacks. You'll see some outrageous prices out there (IMHO), but I stick to my guide. After reading the boards and doing some math on Tatooine and Corellia (comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges) it seems to be a standard. Even with the high prices it evens out.
Good luck and have fun. Scouting's a blast!
Ok another newb question from another player on his 2nd day!
What the heck can we do with the meats? Do those sell as well? Or what can we make that is useful out of them? Including the profession I would need to train in to make something out of them.
Also is it worth picking up some basic mining skills? I feel like to do the things I want to do I will be spreading myself too thin.
Meat is good to sell to chefs and smugglers, for their crafting. Meat is also needed for the Stink Bomb trap.
Go ahead and get novice artisan. In the beginning, when skill points aren't a problem, go ahead and get everything. Then when you start getting up there (like me now), you have to prioritize and get rid of the things that aren't specific to exactly what you want to do.
I will have to drop medic, entertainer and squad leader to do the things I want to do. I've already had to drop artisan. It's all based on your long-term goals.
