I want to organize a monthly outing for all the Novice Scouts out there trying to grind away at the last positions on the skill tree to make it to Master. During these outings we will be hunting BIG game for the Trapping XP as well as the Harvesting XP.

This month we will be hunting Fambaa's near the city of Kernen on Naboo. These fearsome beasts range from 8000 - 10000 HP and can kill a man in 2 stomps of its rather large feet. I have been tracking a large herd of these beasts for 3 days and have been unsuccessful in bringing one down with groups of 3-4, so it is going to take many of us to bring this beast down.

Rules for Participation

We will move out once the group reaches 20 people.

You must NOT be a Master Scout.

4 people will be selected to create camps during the hunt. ONLY these 4 people will create camps. Each camp will hold 5 members of the hunting party. This selection will be based on who is working on that skill.

4 people will be selected to harvest creatures. ONLY these 4 people will be allowed to harvest. This selection will be based on who is working on that skill.

People who are camp creators cannot be harvestors.

Everyone is invited to use traps. The 4 harvesters will keep you stocked up on enough Hide, Bone & Meat to build them.

We will be starting up in the afternoon of 8/3/2003 ~3:00 PM PST. Please show up at the Cantina in Kernen on Naboo. All Medics are welcome to join us.

This is an EXCELLENT idea. I hope that some of the Novice Scouts on the other servers follow this path and schedule some hunts as well.

To be honest, I don't expect to much of a turn out for the first one. But I hope that if I do it regularly it will grow to be something to look forward to for all those lowly novices who like me are sick of killing Nunas, Butter Flies & Knorts. 8)

well the hunt was a success. We had about 15 people though out the night, with about 10 people at any given time. We really didnt earn as much XP as we would have liked we explored the deep reaches of naboo. We will be doing this again in a few weeks on a different planet. So if you are interested keep your eyes here.

Hey could you shoot me a tell or an email in game? I'd very much like to bea part of this. I'm still lvling up on camping, exploration, and hunting, i'm willing to let the traps go since i am at lvl 4, but i'd still like to get some xp for my road to ranger. At any rate i'm glad someone decided to arrange something like this, it's about time someone laid down some good strict rules. Tanks a bunch.

Excellent!

I am very pleased to see that this worked out. It's about time that a group of Scouts got together and were able to work together to take down the critters, without it breaking down into ninja-harvesting and duels.

This is a great precedent, and I hope that many of the other serversfollow your lead in scheduling these events for their novice Scouts.

This is a good plan. I was out with 4 people tonight. The other n00b scout and I got together and alternated camps. I let him harvest usually, since the n00b scout needs it more than me. Something one should consider when in groups. If the guy is new, let him get more harvesting pts. You can still loot the people or train him when he gets up..

Just a thought from tonight's experience.
