Can scouts actually make money by putting resources up ont he bazzar? I haven't tried yet because i don't know who would even want to buy them. The only way i've been able to make money has been by doing missions. There has to be a better way, i'll be doing missions non-stop just to support myself as my char progresses. Any input on making money would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure either...I've been doing missions as well. I think you can sell hide to artisans for them to makeclothing. Yeah, but if anyone know how to make money rather than doing missions, could you please tell us how?

once you get stacks of a 1000 or more of bones and or armor crafters will buy them. the rare bones and armor will sell for more.

Not now, but yes, you will be able to make money this way. Armorsmiths, Tailors, and Artisans heading up the Engineering and Domestic Arts lines to get to those professions are going to burn through huge amounts of bones and hides, likely far faster than you could ever collect them.

Collect large quantities (500-1000) of the same type of resource before you put them up for sale. Pay attention to the stats of the resources, especially "Overall Quality". Crafters trying to experiment on their creations WILL pay more for resources with ratings of 700-1000. They pay close attention to those numbers, even if you don't.

Kill different creatures on different planets, and make note of which ones drop high quality resources. Get your combat skills up so you can get more resources from each mob (higher mob challenge level = more resources dropped) and visit more dangerous planets.

Scan the "this planet" and "whole galaxy" listings of resources on the bazaar to find out which cities DON'T have lots of resources for sale, and go sell them there. Get familiar with which cities have a high concentration of crafters living in them, and go sell them there.

Each time one of your resource containers gets sold within two days of you putting it up, adjust the price of the next similar batch up a bit. That's telling you the demand is still greater than the supply.

Be smart about it, and you can do quite well.

Collect resources in quantity. Those listing resources under 100 on the bazaar are not going to make anything. Those listing in quantities 1-5 are simple bogging down the bazaar.

As a scout and crafter I promise you that I would pay well for 100+ quantities of bone or hide. I would pay especially well for high quality in these and higher quantities as well. They are needed and very hard to get alone.

I go out and kill rills and such until I can make 3 or 4 bone armors and then come back in. That takes a while and I would rather pay you to do it.

I have also been selling campsites for 80 to 150 credits, and traps for 50 credits. They sell ok, not a ton of money, but they are free to make.

For all those scouts on Bria - Sell me your BONES and HIDES! (/tell Tamber)

Artisans have a very large need for these items, and would rather not spend the time training fighting skills to obtain them personally.

I'll buy resources at 3-4 credits per unit (depending on the market and my current need). Heck, if you catch me at a time when I'm desperate and I happen to have plenty of cash, I'll give ya 5 credits per unit!

I've already sold hides and bone on th Bazaar so there is definitely a demand. Zip had very good advice, heed all his suggestions.

What I discovered you can do to make quick cash is do delivery missions. If you don't want to walk on a long trip, take a shuttlecraft. You won't make as musch credits, but it sure is faster.

But then you don't get all the XP from traveling.

A very popular and easy way to power up the Artisan skill tree is to make armor. That armor requires stuff like hide and bones. So yes, there is a huge demand for those items. I'm even taking up scouting to support my Artisan habit =)

What EXP do you actually get for just plain traveling? I thought Exploration and Hunting came from Scouting EXP, which comes from harvesting a corpse.

I've found that traps have made me a good pile of money. The key is advertising. Most melee and marksmen don't have any clue what a "wire net trap" does, but rename it "melee defense debuff trap" and watch them fly out of the bazaar.

I had a monopoly on Naboo's trap trade for a while and made a tidy sum. Of course now all the undercutters are coming in and hurting me (20 for trap, jeesh the listing fee alone is 20), but I still have a hold on most of the tier 3 and 4 traps.
