So far i like scouting as my first but i would like to know what would be a good second choice. Post your second profession or the one you have in mind. This is my first post here think its my 3rd anywhere.

I take up marksman and artistan myself. I chose artistan as well since you get general crafting xp for the traps and campsthat Imake it allows me level up through the Engineer tree so I can make my own weapon and bone armor which I use till I get enough money to buy some advanced equipment. Marksman because it gives me the ability to defend myself without taking as much damage as a brawler may.

But the second profession you want to take up should be based on what you like to do in the future in the Elite professions. Creature handling is a fun one, but there are alot of paths open from the scout tree so feel free to experiment. Don't worry about any choice you make since you can always unlearn the skills and train insomething new.

I have plotted what I will look like when I'm maxed out...I plan to be a master ranger/ master scout / some levels in rifleman (requires marksman rifle skills maxed out)/ and some levels in weaponsmith (requires maxed out artisan engineering)

So basically Artisan allows you to make stuff and harvest resources, Rifleman (and marksman) help with sniping.

I'm with Blackweather.
I plan on Mastering Scout/Ranger along with some medic/artisan so I can sample for resources to make stimpacks.

Going for Bounty Hunter here, so Master Marksman is a must in addition to Master Scout. I am throwing in some Artisan as well to give me something to do while I am camping. Basically, when I need to heal wounds in the wild, I survey for a good spot, build camp and begin sampling while the wounds heal. Note that higher level traps require Inorganic components, so this is a good way to get those resources. In Beta, I was also selling the leftover Inorganics in 250-500 lots for a nice amount of credits on the Bazaar.

When I get up in the BH tree, I may surrender some of the Artisan skills as needed, as there are only 32 points(or so)left over after Master BH.

Some folks go for Medic to aid in their wound healing and also to heal their damage(not wounds) between fights. IF they nerf camps' wound healing as was discussed before Beta ended, I may consider picking up some Medic to offset this nerf, although that would pretty much make me forgo any Artisan skills at that point.

Well... the real good thing about medic is you can heal *wounds*, not just damage. The only problem I'm having right now is I really need team members to pick up novice entertainer, hehe... wound healing is very mentally taxing, and it doesn't come back to quickly on my char. Is battle fatigue different from wounds? when I open up ctrl-c, I show really bad wounds to both mind and willpower, but my mindpool doesn't show any wounds.

The other very nice advantage of having novice medic, is that if you can heal someone's wounds, they're more likely to hang around (in your camp) rather than head back to a city for the hospital and dedicated docs hanging around. I may pick up novice entertainer too... until I need the XP back for my higher-level stuff (my max-plan requires me to eventually drop novice medic too... but by that time I plan to have plenty of friends to group with... and my novice medic would be useless compared to a Master Combat Medic.)

My current plans call for Master Scout and Master Squad Leader. Novice Ranger, mastering the Wayfaring and Frontiering disciplines, with Adv. Trapping I (Rescue ability... what exactly is that for?). Novice Marksman, mastering the Rifle and Ranged Support disciplines (Ranged Support needed for Squad Leader). And Novice Rifleman mastering Conceal (I would think with Wayfaring it'd make you super-stealthy), experting in Countersniper (lots of melee defense bonuses), and Intermediate Special Abilites (forgot what specials I'd get with that) disciplines. It's bound to change though.

Well I started out as a Scout of course. I have since picked up novice marksman to help with my ranged combat and rifle skills. I bought a CDEF rifel because of the longer range then the pistol. I'm planning on going up the Ranged Combat Support branch on the marksman profession. Then going all the way up to master Scout, maybe going into ranger.

At my beginning stages like now, I also think I will pick up some novice medic, to help with healing wounds. I heal damage pretty quick, but wounds take forever sitting on those beds, and I can't hardly find medics to heal them for me.

As for the final plan, I think the only for sure thing is Ranger, which means master Scout. Other then that, I'm not sure. I might try some animal handler to suppliment my Scouting. I like the Outdoorsman idea, with being a good long range combat support. I don't have much health or constitution, so if I can stay in the back and fire a good long range rifle, I'm happy.

I'm focusing on Scout/Marksman, but I also have novice artisan & medic skills. I choose medic skills so that I can start healing myself/others when solo'ing/waiting in line at the medical center.

First you need a combat profession, I recomened a melee because traps are a good short range weapon which you already have. I hear rifle is also good as a3rd. (shoot, trap, and melee)But i have not done it but it does sound like it should work well.

I have two scout characters I'm working on, likely one will go into anther profession.

Twi'lek: master rescoure hunter (Ranger/TKA/Survivor/Musician) Musician is only for RPing reasons, and will stay a low skill level.

Trandoshan: Rare Item Hunter (Ranger/commando) or (Ranger/merchant/TKA)

So really there is no set answer just do what you think you will enjoy

Im a scout/marksman/entertainer, for just that reason. There are almost always medics and scouts in hunting parties, but theres never anyone to heal battle fatigue, especially if youre a long distance from a city. So I took up entertaining so when a camp is set up, I can heal everyones battle fatigue, while the medis refill the HAM bars. Also, I can make a few creds in a cantina if I feel like playing there. Im not really going to advance far, its just kindof a nice skill to have handy I think.

I'm going scout/carbine/some basic medic skills, and eventually will head to Creature Handler, which is my ultimate goal.
