Thread: Scout Harvest exp = fast sense exp?

Is it? And what should i have in scout? Like 4040 maybe? I dont have SP to master.. And what mob should i harvest for best exp?

It's not fast.
At 8-1, with 200xp (being generous) per large animal dropped, you will easily be maxing weapon and combat xp before you get close to maxing scout xp.
This includes the maskscent xp you get from sneaking up on creatures, and riding around Yavin while maskscented.
Fast would be dropping small animals quickly and getting 50-100 harvest xp per. You actually get more scout xp off small animals than you do weapons XP, spend less time killing, and get more xp per minute that way.
And as I have no clue what combat skills you have, looks like you have few by your name, do that. Also, group with a droid while hunting, it gives you an xp boost.

Ok thanks, one more question. What template in scout should i have? 4040 or 0040 ?

At least 1/0/4/0, but preferably 4/0/4/0.
That lets you use mask scent to get XP from the aggressive critters, as well as just from harvesting them.

Ok, but doi get more harvest exp as an 4040 then an 1040? And do i get more exp as novice as 0040?

you get as much harvest xp you can get at 0 0 4 0. hunting is the only line that provides harvesting bonuses

With 4/0/4/0 you increase your chances of a successful maskscent as well. Remember it won't be perfect, but probably more effective than 1/0/4/0 when collecting the xp.

I get 700 xp on some of the bigger voritors on Dant (forgot the exact name). Seems nice and fast to me - and there is always sharnaffs on Corellia.

I have master scout (and some ranger) coupled with master swordsman. Last night on Dathomir I was hunting all varieties of rancors. For enraged bull rancors I was getting almost 1200 scout exp per harvest. If they didn't break maskscent, I got 220 for each. In around an hour, I had capped my scout exp at 120k (I haven't trained tracking 4 yet). I hit that cap at about the 300k mark in my two-handed exp. So...if you're hunting extremely large game, you'll cap scout long before you cap your combat exp.

I'm master ranger and cap the 160k scouting xp about at the same time as my 2 handed so I would say take Ranger xx4x and of you go kill some rancors and if the meat or hide is nice you can make some money to.

Perhaps I simply lack the desire, but after picking up Force Sensitivity, I couldn't bear the slow speed at which Harvesting experience was converting to Force experience. I spend most of my waking hours harvesting animal resources, too.

If you have good combat skills- fencer/tkm with ranged attack just go after rancors. They are easy to take out and give 2-3k scout exp from harvesting. For me they do anyways.
If you lack good combat skills then go to smaller creatures.
When im on dath, i go to sarlac and kill everything until i am maxed for tkm, fencer, combat xp, and scout.

Hello, I have 0040 Scout right now for harvesting for my guild and getting FS xp.
I can bank 30k xp right now, which I can get in about 30 mins. My question is how can I bank more scouting xp? Go up another tree, say 4040? Or is 30k the cap you can bank until you get master scout?
