Thread: PVP, how do you do it?????
I'm god **edit** tired of pvp i tell yea. I"m an covert imp and dont really wanna engage with other players but i do like running faction missions and stuff. Well unfortunatley while i'm TEF, god **edit** rebels F***K me up. It's a pain in the ass cause they can target me and shoot and by the time i can do anythign i'n knocked down already??
How the hell do you rifleman pvp? i went out and wasted money on armor and that don't help jack S**t. I can freaking win. If it's a brawler, forget about it, just endless knockdowns. Other higher rilfeman just all sorts of screw me up, stun/dizzy so forth.If it's a bounty hunter, i just say F**K you JoBoo and run. SO they only chance i have is going up against an artisan.

I hate to engage in pvp but i like the xp/money/missions of factions. If pvp was just straight up shooting i'd probably enjoy it, but the way it is now is bull**edit** to me. There's no checks and balances in it. I mean how the F**K am i gonna counter a knockdown.
SO i'd appreciate any tips you can give me to hopefully stay alive a bit longer. I"m a novice Rifleman with a laser rile and a spraystick. NO boxes in rifleman yet besides novice. Also pistol specialist
im novice rifleman with one box filled in sniping accuracy. Get sniping accuracy first, it has mindshot2, which is better than mindshot1
yes it can be infuriating at times, especially the knockdowns. But hey, if you're headshotting them it can piss them off too since they can't heal the damage.
You HAVE to use your mindshot to mind bleed them.
Too bad you didn't pvp before they put in the patch that nerfed rifleman damage by 75%.... I was having loads of fun 1-2 shotting people. But the pistoleers didn't like that so they changed it, now pistoleers and bounty hunters and smugglers knock us down and overwhelm us with their faster firing weapons.
I suggest you do what they do, attack people with TEFs. I do it around anochorhead ALL THE TIME. I see covert rebels attacking Imp NPCs as part of a mission or something. They get a TEF. I go prone at 60 meters, fire a mind bleed with my laser rifle and peace with them, then go out of range. Usually they dont notice me and their mind starts to bleed away. Then I come back and finish it.
Again, use your mindbleeds, even mindshot1 if you dont have mindshot2 yet (get it). Mindshot and get out of range. They can't heal it. And once we riflemen get T-21s and stuff, we can start doing some powerful shots again if the HAM costs dont kill us.
Speaking of which, I dont use armour (except for chest armour when fighting pistoleers) cuz it kills my secondary stats, and I can't have that since they get drained enough from my rifle's special actions.
If you have suppression fire (ranged weapon support 4) and dizzy shot (rifle support box 1) you can dizzy them with dizzy shot (use your spraystick), then use suppression fire to make them kneel or go prone, and if they try to stand up they will fall down, works like a knockdown. Then you can hit them with a mind bleed and then dizzy shot them again so if they try to get up, they'll fall down again. Of course this only works 1 on 1, but it's still good. And in chaotic larger battles you'll find things easier with your harder hitting mind attacks.
