Thread: Rifleman no lower posture but 2 raise, seems like a mistake?

In the rifleman tier you get no special shot which lowers posture of a target.


All othermaster classes gets either lower posture or knockdown, heck some have both.


Riflemen has 2 specials that raises posture (well ok4 since each shot have a 1 and a 2) Startle and flushing, I know there is a slight difference between these 2 shots(oneis +stun)but doesnt it seem as if one of these shouldbe lower instead of raise posture?


My opinion, change one of them to posture down, it seems as if it was the original intent because of how much startle and flush are alike.

You don't plan on taking Ranged support in the marksman tree? Not only you get a posture down, the cool warning shot but you also get some +defense mods...

I know its in the ranged support but thats not my point, point is all other combat classes have it in their specialisation, we have 2 very very very simular posture up attacks, and it doesnt make any sense, atleast to me.


But aside from that, no I dont want ranged support, and I am infact crying my eyes out becuase I have to use 14 skill points to get a posture down attack (suppressionfire1) whenall of the other combat classes gets the ability to slow opponents down in their specialisations.

Well this will probably come back to the old classic reasoning of "you get to target unhealable mindpools".

The problem with Rifleman is that one of our four trees exists for one reason. To counter OTHER Riflemen. Counter-Sniping Technique. This would be useful if Riflemen weren't already the easiest fighting Profession to deal with in the game. We really need to get them to ditch Counter-Sniping Technique in favor of Stand-Off Tactics or something that helps us KEEP our enemies in our targetting range.

Perhaps that will be my next overlooked Petition!

It cant be right, noone thinks the riflemen should have a /special that slows down a charging enemy?


We most of all need something to try and keep mobs from getting into melee range
