Thread: should i hold off getting new skills until my XP caps? (working towards master)

i almost have enough Xp for concealment 3 and have almost enough combat xp for rifle abilities 3. But as soon as i get those, even though i will gain from the speed bonous from rifle abilities 2 (and gain nothing from concleament 3 cuz i dont hunt ranged mobs for xp), i will get a crap load less xp from mobs as soon as i get one or both of those boxes, because im higher "level", so it will take me longer than necesary to get to the same level.

Had i thought about this before, i might have gotten just headshot 3 (instead of the whole sniper tree) and then just flushing 3 and then hoard as much xp as possible without using it up on skill boxes and handicapping myself.

Or does it not work that way?

There wouldnt be any benefit to saving up exp other than to train more than one box at a time to save yourself a trip or if you dont have enough skillpoints available to train and want to hold off untraining something else as long as possible.

Also, your exp per kill should not change at all unless you are hunting enemies that are significantly weaker than you. I have been getting exactly the same exp per Savage Quenker from Marksman Rifles3 all the way to 4343 in Rifleman.

Generally speaking getting a new skill box sooner should help you get exp a bit easier/faster. Getting the Sniper tree maxed and training the Combat exp tree as you can both help because you hit more often and shoot faster.

Cash out the XP ASAP, the skills you get make up for any minor amount of XP you lose. Especially the Combat XP for speed.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

make sure you are grouped evan with a droid anyting it does not evan have to be around you. It will give you more xp but less resources when you harvest. That sounds about like the differance in your xp amounts? Just an FYI
