Hi, i have a question... i was wondering if a 14k dmg hit was possible in a single shot with a rifle ? I have a screenshot that shows it, but i wont post it if it's possible.

I've done crazy dmg to lairs, I don't know if it can be done to NPCs or creatures. I did 12k dmg to a lair with Last ditch (pistol) and 22k dmg on a lair with flame single 2 (flame thrower) twice in a row. My group was not happy that I destroyed the lair before it had a chance to spawn anything. But still, that was some crazy dmg!

It is with the corpse bug. I saw a 32k hit the other day in the Geno Cave.

It is possible, I have done 9k to pickets....and 11k in the geo cave. My gun is not that good either.
There were no bodies near the pickets, well not many.

The single most damage that I've done was with a flame thrower when I was a Master Commando. Just a touch over 10k using Flamesingle2. But I've never done anywhere near that with my T21 (508 max dmg without powerup).

The AOE bug works in both PVP and PVE so yes. The AOE bug is devastating.(AKA the corpse bug)

As mentioned, there is a bug in damage calculations when an AOE attack (for us: Flurryshot2, Flushingshot2, Startleshot2, or Strafeshot2)isdone to a target and there are corpses within the cone of effect. Under those conditions, you will see huge damage figures. As stated in the Genosian caves where there tend to be a lot of bodies stacked up because of the frequency of the spawns, it is not unusal to see hits like that. After seeing that I was hitting for a few20K+ hits, I quit using AOE attacks there except when it was necessary for survival (i.e., I am ganged up on by multiple targets and I would have used that shot anyway) and, even then, usually only if I can minimize the bug effect by keeping the corpses out of the target zone.

It's not specific to corpses.
If you have too many "living" target in the cone/aoe, it just wigs out and do that bug too.

Don't forget that if you wander close to a lair or creature that renders on your screen already wounded, it will tick off the number of HAM they have lost all together. Weird thing but that's why. Also when a lair has run out of creatures to spawn, for some reason each shot does like 10 times the damage.
