Make the requirements for rifleman 4004 marksman and 4000 scout.
open to discussion.

That isn't too bad of an idea though, the terrain negotiation for scout does make some sense. It allows you to mask scent pretty well so you could play the role of sneaky sniper on creatures I guess.

sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but they will never change the requirements for a profession. Think of the anguish that would create. What would happen if you were a master rifleman without scout? You suddenly lose all of your rifle skills until you pick up scout? Luckily I'll never have to worry about that because it won't happen.

What about us Rangers that like to RP trapesing about on thier Humbaba mount from the planet that they were born?
Now, I can see certain specials being activated, i.e., get some Pikeman and get your riflebut. THIS I can see.

haha, i won't mind if that what shut those nerfers up
I am a 4004 marksman and 4040 scout, so that wont hurt me.
scout xp was really easy to get for me.

but will that really help, it only means you need to have the ranged support tree and some scout, and well, most rifleman end up being master marksman anyways, so whats teh addition here? and what does exploration have to do with rifles? i can understand hunting... but well, that doesnt make much since either

i could live with that (little edit here and there)
personaly i think tera kasi should require more then 4/0/0/0 in brawler but they aint going to change that either i think
but IMO it wouldnt chance anything you need master marksman and brawler 4/0/0/0 for commando and people still whine that its to powerful
good idea tho but they will still whine

But we should wait with these perposed fixes untill the combat revamp (its supposed to come with publish 8, and publish 7 is whats on testcenter, 6 being on live) Give it a month or so more :/

Even if they would change the proffesion requirements for rifleman people would still whine, there is no escaping from that. However IMO I think they should tune down the riflemen and give them the ability to furthere enhance their rifleskills with another proffesion, like carbineers can with the BH carb tree and pistoleers with BH and smuggler pistol trees. Ranger would be a good profession for this I think. Not sure what you riflemen think about this but I think it would be an good idea, dont think it will happen though.

/agree, TKM's get SOOO many other features as the other brawler professions (meditate, any pool hit, speacial states).
About the original post:
It wouldn't be a bad idea except for the people who have no skill points available. See, adding 4000 scout wouldsubtract an extra 29 skill points which is not a small deal. And since rifleman is almsot like pistoleer and pistol, except we are working, those professions would need this requirement too.
