Thread: kneecap shot not working?

Ok, search for me wasn't working, so this may have been covered.
I have not been able to see any results when I use kneecap shot. Is it just me, or does it seem to be broken? And if it's broke, any eta on it being fixed?
it is working
it just slows the mob approx 10% (or about the same as the slow down we have with a rifle equiped)

Kneecapshot needs a change >_< ......How about you force them to Roll to prone with it, with a slowed down standing up animation?
I like that idea...
Kneecap shot works great and is not worthless. True it doesn't slow the creature down much, but it does slow them down to the same speed you are. Try shooting it your second shot and then running in the opposite direction (on flat ground if you don't have terrain negotiation). The creature will never catch up to you. This technique is called kiting and is great to use on high end kills.
Be warned though, this is not a get me out of trouble shot. Shooting a creature with kneecap shot that is already doing dmg to you is worthless, since they are the same speed as you and you will never create any distance. Create distance between you and the creature (knockdown or roots work here) then shoot kneecap shot. If you can't knockdown you can always kneecap shot and then unequip your weapon and create space that way, but you will take a few shots before you get far enough away.
After kneecap shot wears off it cannot be applied right away. I am not sure the timer they put on it, but it isn't very long.
This shot is one of the main reasons a rifleman can solo High end stuff. It does not need to be changed, it just needs to be used properly. ![]()
If the snare it applied was as good as that thep-dart trap used to apply pre-CU, it would be much more useful.

yep, using kneecap shot is def the key to soloing high-end mobs
root, when that falls, knockdown and kneecap, then kite like a nutcase!!! ![]()
(i always /way the spawn point of the mob to ensure i dont pull it to far , that bloody retreat is a real pain)
