Thread: Advanced Ranged, how do I get it?

I was in a group the other day and noticed the profession icons for some of the other members in gold. I hovered my mouse over and it came up as Advanced Ranged. How do I get Advanced?

My template is Master Pistoleer, Master Rifleman and x-x-2-x Carbines.

Also, does it actually make any difference?

Many thanks for any help or advise.

If you click on the icon it will change. Just keep clicking untill Adv. Ranged comes up.

As previously stated you must hold your mouse over your own Combat Role Icon and click it to cycle through the different roles available. The answer to your question though is no this doesn't make any difference in combat it just allows your group to know what you are capable of and role you plan on serving in the group.

HA! Great tip! I wish I knew that a while ago... I've been running around with Master Rifleman/Medic/Doc for a while now and have a silly "Medic" role icon... Advanced Ranged or Advanced Medic (depending on my playstyle choice at the time) would be much more appropriate.

Thanks again

/say I'm sorry, %TT, but your Imperial HMO does not cover wound treatments with a Battle Fatigue over 500. Please see an entertainer to receive treatment.

Huh?? What's Battle Fatigue?!
