Thread: What rifle against an Elder or a Protector...?

Title says it all really.... can't touch 'em with my T21 or my Geo acid rifle.... What do you guys use?

Use a powerhammer 
Riflemen can't kill these **edit** with rifles. Use a powerhammer and they will die in 10-30 seconds depending on your speed mods.

Maybe a protector in 10-30 seconds, not an Elder.
Elder resists:
Heavy Armor = T-21
35% to Blast
35% to Energy = T-21
100% to the rest besides LS
You can't just stand there with a rifle and kill an elder though. You at least need someone to tank so you can get back at a good range and fire away. T-21, powerhammers, and sabers are pretty much the only weapons able to hurt them. Be thankful you have a wide array of damage types to choose from. Many professions can't do anything since they don't have blast, energy or saber dmg.

Yea a master swordsman and a master rifleman duo can still make short work of elders

Heh, you could do what I did. Store your rifle and just throw punches. i have no Brawler skills and the sad thing is, the random punches that landed for 20 damage did more harm to the Elder than any of my rifles lol!
I think I'm gonna go cry in a corner now...

Dangit, I think I was going up against a Spellweaver, not an Elder. What do I have to do to get an edit button? I've only paid to play this game for over a year...

My little friend... 
Best Rifle for a Elder is the T21 with a good damage slice, I do around 1k damage per second with it. But anyway, you will never be able to solo a elder or protector with rifles =)
Btw. Protectors have 100% protection against all kinds of damage you can do as rifleman.
For Protectors the best is swordsman, buta TKM will do well =)
If you want hunt elders, find a friend, AT LEAST TKM, best is TKM FENCER Master Brawler
Get a Mindbuff from dancer + muscian this is a must, sometimes the elder uses her Stun Baton or 7 ns fighting against u and ur friend and ur mind will go low FAST =D
try to aggro the elder on you, most times the elder is not alone, but the most time u have luck and only the elder aggros you when you shoot from distance with a rifle on her, run away from the spawn and let ur melee tank spamm /taunt, the elder will agro the melee =)
Tell ur tank to use INTI1, and INTI2 if he is master brawler, and spamm kd's then - I do avergage 1.4k damge per second while the elder is inti1+2 =)
Eh and yes.. bring some time.. =D / You will find the elder fast, killing her will not take so long - but finding a good loot =)

Rifleman can solo an Elder using Concealshot. Even if you cannot, you can do so kiting them provided you do not aggro Protectors, Spellweavers,or Stalkers in the process,none of which we can damage.

one of the best method to solo a elder without getting hurt..or it might just be the only method to solo anything without getting hurt /takeCover /ConcealShot slow but effective

Seems to be a problem finding them in the open though. The one in the labour camp is in a cave... don't see how that one could be /concealshot -ted.

You are correct regarding the safety of using Concealshot. However, /Takecover is useless unless you are under attack from a ranged attack, and even then, it's usefulness is questionable. Cover only increases your ranged defense; it does nothing to make you more concealed. If they see you, they will attack melee, so the last thing you want to be doing if they are attacking you is stay prone. Therefore, simply go prone and start firing Concealshot. I would not bother taking cover.

You can hardly solo anything with concealshot. I usually get a -1 bleed tick after only a few shots, which aggros the mob.

Sorry but soling a elder as Rifleman is stupid as hell, kite em? Have fun... They are faster as u
U are a lot faster with a tank, conceal takes years - I need for a elder with a tank 250 shots, and thats nothing...
