Well, I was looking thru the forums for this... and I didn't find it. So I thought I'd post it for all to enjoy.

Significantly more powerful than the standard blaster rifle, the BlasTech T-21 light repeating blaster is the most deadly Imperial blaster that can be transported and carried by one soldier. The T-21 proved a common support weapon for army and stormtrooper squads. For example, the Burning Sands stormtrooper squads sent to Tatooine to recover the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO used T-21s as their primary support weapons. Imperial artillery sections normally inclyde at least one soldier with a T-21 who will provide cover for other crewmen while they are setting up artillery pieces and heavy repeating blasters such as the E-Web. Because of its portability, the T-21 also proved to be a popular weapon among Rebel squads during the Civil War and is still issued to some New Republic units.

While medium and heavy repeating blasters provide significantly more frirepower than does the T-21, they are also bulkier and require crews of two to three soldiers. They take several minutes to set up or break down, and far too often military units don't have the luxury of waiting around for heavy support weapons.

By contrast, the T021 package is designed for use by a soldier on the move. The weapon, its belt-carried tripod, and twenty-kilogram backpack generator can be set up and made operational in less than thirty seconds. While the blaster can be fired two-handed by a moving soldier, the light tripod offers improved accuracy. The tripod can be fully extended for instances when the T-21 is to be used as a weapon emplacement, but a partially extended position is superb for sniper attacks, allowing the gunner to take advantage of the T-21's maximum range of three hundred meters. Rebel squads often used the T-21, which has an optimum range of one hundred and fifty meters, to eliminate Imperial weapon emplavements and cover advancing Alliance infantry.

While the T-21's standard power pack supply only enough energy for twenty-five shots, its seperate continuous-feed power generator gives the weapon potentially unlimited fire capability, although the generator's low cooling capacity in turn limits the fire rate to once per second.

This weapon is devastating against infantry, wielding enough power output to slice easily through personal armor suits or break down force fields. The T-21 also can cut through the armor plating used on many light combat vehicles, such as armored landspeeders. In the hands of a skilled operator, the T-21 can eliminate an entire enemy squad in a matter of seconds.

Some military units pair the T-21 with an even larger power generator for full autofire, but this tactic requires a second crew member to carry and maintain the bulkier generator. Gunners must use carfully controlled bursts, since heat buildup from sustained autofire has been known to melt the T-21's.

Extra Generator anyone? I know I wouldn't mind one...
And they said Riflemans were to powerful, I say bring us 300 meter range!

I mean no offense, but:

the game has taken liberties with more than one aspect of the movie/EU.

this isn't itself a bad thing... the pre-SWG world wasn't designed for a balanced MMORPG, and this game IS asserting itself towards a rich and detailed system based on a concept nearly 25 years old, and striving towards a more complete balance for all players.

it's still good to see a post like this.

Ya, I say they should give us Full Auto fire capability so we could do multiple shots on one person rather than the strafeshot2 that hits only once on multiple people. Imagine how quick we could kill something if you could fire say 3 shots of 2500 dam at once but they're would be an accuracy minus against the skill on all 3 shots so you wouldn't necessarily hit the person with all three everytime but when you did they'd be doing the MeatDance!

Well, I'm not sure of how good this is but....

Jawa Ionization Gun
this gun is one of the most famous symbols of the Jawa race. The ionization gun has many uses, primary of which is the immobilization of a droid. The weapon discharges an intense ion beam which ionizes the droid's circuits, rendering it temporarily unable to function. The gun is created from any blaster rifle, which is gutted of its laser components and modified to accept an ion accelerator created by the Jawas themselves. This accelerator is made from a droid restraining bolt wired to an ignition accu-accelerator.

What you wrote was directly from STAR WARS The Essential Guide to Weapons and Technologyon the T21 so lets give them a little credit.

Pssst. First necro post I stickied was the info from the Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology. It had most of this info in it along with some other weapons. If you are curious about this post here is a clicky for it. I have it personally stickied and have had it so for some time. Always found it good to have when debating the "Rifles are slow" crowd.
