I constantly hear people about capping in 1.5 hours to 2 hours, and its driving me nuts. Today I was doing huurton stalker missions, I would run up and spam point blank area until they all died, they instead of blowing the lair up I drove to the next one and did the same, I would go back to the first one and everything would respawn so I would slaughter that bunch. 2.5 hours I did this, and I got 400k rifle xp. Now I have tried enraged rancors, and they proved anus, the only thing I havnt tried is those arachnids on endor, which I will probably try tommorow. I might be gaining so slowley because I am only 4243 in rifleman, but I dont think 30 speed (as awesome as that is) is going to get me 500k extra xp. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

But I tried rancors, and I was gaining nothing, what do people see in them? they give less xp than huurton stalkers plus they take longer to kill. your flawgic makes no sense to me, what am I doing wrong?

picket protectors if you're on Dant. They give the best xp per kill. And if you can get a solo group and take at least 99 difficulty missions, you'll be clearing at least 70k per mission.
Oh... and if you're not master rifle... don't waste your time. 30 points of speed is huge, not to mention accuracy and special shots that you're missing.

ok are you trying to cap out so you can train up in rifle to get master? or so you can trade in xp for FS combat xp?
if you're trying to trade in for FS xp before you've gotten master rifleman, you're wasting your time in a very bad way.
pointblankarea is a hardheaded way of grinding xp. try out your rifle specials man. they work pretty well in the right hands.
another thing to consider... try fighting ranged opponents. you'll miss less often when they're not up in your grill.

You HAVE to be a master before you can cap in 1.5 hours (I've capped twice in a 3 hour 20 minute buff session....including the trip to Aurilia in the middle to exchange XP).
People don't realize, the difference between 4-4-4-4 rifleman and Master is NIGHT and DAY. This is the one combat profession where you really can't dabble and be effective (all the others you can get defensive stats for 1 tree). For rifleman, you're either a Master or you suck.

stay away from dant... at least on radiant its a dead planet for wild spawns... head to endor and walk or ride a mount whatever moves kill it... same goes for dath, but you need to go further away from the outposts now...
now before you leave if you aren't useing a mount pull out a droid and group it, tell it to stay, head on your merry way...
heck i've done 900k the hard way in less than 2 hrs, concleshot everything... (couldn't find a doc before i left)...
pointblank area 1, if you are master you kow nothing about this prof... 1.5 dam mod compared to the 5.0 of strafe2 (i think those are right)... what a waist of your weapon... you only need really 2 weapons, the drx-6b and t-21... go for damage slices on both and have fun slaughtering everything in site...
if you're not master, then use your exp towards that... it pays itsself off infanitly... if you don;t have the SP to master then got with swords or tk... even 2 lines of pistol would be better...

rancor valley, bring a 700+ max dmg t21, strafeshot 2.
one brandy session (roughly 42 minutes) later, 900k xp.
prereqs: master rifleman, speedcapped.

Hmmmm. The question is. DXR6 or T21 for rancors? My DXR6 does 242-481 @ 5.7 without powerup. My T21 is 221-564 without powerup. at +90 i tend to Favor the DXR6 but i just went Master Marksmen before the server went down. I Assume my T21 would be the best now. What would you guys do with this setup? Can't wait to get back on and find out!!!!

I knew I would have to get master rifleman first, but I was just worried that when I got their the gains wouldn't be very spectacular, Thanks for all the help guys!

I have been capping in 1.5-2 hours on Dath. What I do is get buffed take some canape and brandy and head directly north/north westof Dath Outpost acrcoss the river. Tons or mobs that die fast. The snapper are real easy and the kwi drop in a few headshot 3's.
What is the LOC to Rancor valley? I want to give it a shot and compare.....

Well for anyone interested the DXR6 was still better. I'm quite sure with +97 with the T21 caped with SS2 the T21 would be the best. Anyone know where i can get some armour attachments on bria??
