Newsflash; the kinetic pistol sucks so bad it isnt even worth mentioning, even with high dmg slice and powerup it is so weak.

When you come up against a mob with 100% resistance to stun, acid, energy, heat, and blast, you'll wish you still had that worthless pea-shooter, because doing 100 damage with Stopping Shot or Last Ditch is 100% better than doing 0 damage with every other pistol.
I think that making Nym's Slug Thrower actually throw slugs (make it do kinetic damage and remove the medium AP), and making the Tusken Rifle do kinetic damage (also remove the light AP), would allow the other ranged professions to at least contribute *some* damage to mobs that are 100% immune to everything else they have. I seriously doubt that a Rifleman would ever solo something that has armor and good kinetic resistance by using an AP0 rifle that does 100-200 kinetic damage; if they tried to use Conceal Shot they would be guaranteed to land that 1 point health bleed and draw agro long before they ever killed a mob with 100,000+ HAM (300,000-600,000+ effective HAM versus AP0 kinetic).
Keeping kinetic damage out of the ranged professions AND having mobs with 100% resistances to all of a ranged profession's weapons is just plain wrong at this point in the game. When a melee combat profession goes up against something that is 100% immune to all of their weapons, they do not become useless, because melee combat professions can still *tank* the mob. Ranged combat professions *cannot* tank mobs effectively; their purpose is to deal damage at range. When the mob is 100% immune to EVERY weapon a ranged combat profession has, they cannot deal damage at range, and they cannot tank effectively, rendering them useless to the effort.
