im playin around with templats and i was wonderin if a creature handler would go well with rifleman. i figure the creatures could tank for you while you sit back and do all of the realy dmg. i know this isn't a fresh new idea but it sounds like fun. tell me what you guys think.

I loved it so much that I am starting up a new character on an alternate server to do it again. My favorite _fun_ combo in the game.

I've been a rifleman(woman)/CH since about the time of the CH nerf (used to be a pistoleer/CH). Love rifleman with my pets. IMHO its very fun and a good combo. I usually keep 1 of my pets near me on guard while the other(s) tanks in case something melee aggro's me and the pet distracts them.

im a former riflewoman/MCH that was very very successful in PVP and PVE using pets. i only gave up MCH to pursue jedi and the second character slot. its is by far the most effective Solo PVE template. no armour required

Rifleman Ch is probably one of the most popular templates of all time. In the first 6-8 months of the game I would say that 50% or more of rifleman were also CH . This has lowered since the big CH (nerf) armeggedon of last spring. CH with rifleman is a great and fun template and most players who have had it loved it more then anything.

I otoh have never been a CH T_T but I intend to do it someday cause it looks like fun

thank you all fpr your input. i jut started that temp today and im lovin it. a lot of it, however, has to do with the fact that a good friend of mine gave me a pre nerf rancor i can use rigth away at nov ch. just how lucky am i? i don't even need armor anymore

those rancors are exploited not pre-nerf. they will eventually get your account a visit from a CSR when people see you using it. i am one of those folks that reports em when i see em

How can you tell they are exploited as opposed to nerfed? I have heard it both ways before and would like to know.

wait? whats that? is that rain? damnit who's rainin on my parade:

yes all i've heard is that it was nerfed, but i haven't heard anything about it being a exploit(until now i didn't even know you could exploit something like that). i've even seen some of these sell in the trade forums. if someone could clear this up for me it would be appreciated. i'd hate to have to downgrade to a lvl 1 razor cat

CH was one of the first profession I mastered and I kept it for about 8-9 months. Tried it with pretty much all combat professions, and the rifleman / CH is (as so many has already said) extremely fun. Also having MCH when starting to grind Rifleman is a big help, I used to grind unbuffed with no armour (well, I couldn't wear armour since I'm a wook, but still). Send in some tanks on the lair, lay back and hit it with flushing2, your pets will take the damage. After 2-3 lairs you switch to another set of pets since your current ones will be low on ham and let them regen.

Just started going back to rifleman with my alt, and I am tempted at doing CH again, but doing two profs at once that I've already done is a little too much for me.

And as for the exploited rancors, basically all big pets at lvl 1 are exploited IIRC. I personally only used one BE-pet, and that was a lvl 62 Kimo. I liked to play the role of a hunter / tamer, and you can find pretty damn nice wild pets, no real need for BE IMO. And I loved my pre-nerf Mantigrue that had an area disease. I named him crotch so I could say "My crotch got an area disease" whenever I used him in PvP.

Sorry for stealing your post Ally, just don't want to put more thread into this board.

I have a question for all the CH/RM out there. With all the free point, I can be TKA4000 for the meditate line to meditate away any bleed/poison/disease. Should I keep this or drop it and pick up Medic instead? Eventhough Medic can't cure disease at all
