Thread: Does anyone have a Beserker Rifle?

If so, is it borked still like I have heard it was, and do you know anyone selling one on Ahazi? I would really like to get the heat damage!

From what I understand, one of the components is missing a serial number, hence, the weaponsmiths cannot assemble them. However, you can get them from the "frogs" on TC right now.

People in this forum are probably tired of me mentioning it....but since you asked....
I managed to get a hold of one before they became borked. The previous poster is correct.. one of the parts is evidently missing a serial number now and the gun can not be successfully crafted.
Mine works and is max damage 447, but it is AP0 and soI never use it because 99% of the time it is worthless. If you're filthy rich and want to buy it let me know. Its not worth a lot as a rifle (looks cool tho), but as a collectors item right now I figure it's worth a lot. I keep hoping some overly-wealthy collector will offer me 5 or 6 million for it. I paid 1 million for it new.
Edited to add: Oops, I just noticed you are on Ahazi. Oh well.......

Ok, dumb question...
why would they bork the only HEAT damage rifle we have, any why change the Tusken from KINETIC to ENERGY damage?
coming from pistoleer, the only damage I didn't have was COLD and BLAST (which could be had with the addition of novice Commando).
so the only damage available to a Rifleman is Acid, Cold,Stunand Energy (with varying degrees of AP)?

Technically, we have Cold, Heat, Stun, Acid, and Energy. But our Cold and Heat weapons are useless(worse than Pistoleers think the Striker pistol is), so they don't get to count 
That leaves Acid, Energy, and Stun(which is becoming less effective as time goes on, but itwill most likely alwayshave some use). You can get by pretty well with just Acid and Energy, so I suppose we shouldn't complain until the other professions get their new weapons

Hehe thx. I saw one in a vendor tent just a few days ago hanging on a wall and it looked pretty nice to me. A rifle version of the DE-10 pistol. Sorry, didn't realise this question was asked a buch O' times. I looked back and didn't really see anything on the subject.

no problem ^_^ generally i would have said look it up under the search engine but as the search engine appears to be busy 99% of the time now I refuse to say that.
yes as they say it is currently borked due to a component needing a serial number and since it does not the new crafting system will not allow it to be created T_T
(anyone else notice that lately? - truely useless feature if we can't do searchs - and if you can't redo the search when it fails (cause it dumps all the search info >_<)

Oh no, my apologies.... i didnt mean to imply that you posted an oft-asked question. Most of the Berzerker threads are of the "Is it fixed yet?" variety, or else "Is this rifle really awesome?". I almost always answer (just like above), so all I was saying is that people are probably tired of seeing me talk about it. And also, I can't say as I've seen a Berzerker thread in a while, so certainly no foul on your part!

Does anyone use the SG82 or spraystick anymore? should I bother springing for one of each or just go with a Laser Rifle, T21, Jawa and DXR-6b?

I still use the spraystick, since I'm not MRM. It is really good to have when you get aggroed. Too bad we have no armor piercing.

I resent that remark. I AM a weaponsmith, and I don't have an SG-82 that's actually worth a slot in my house.

When I set my 5.8sec 600dam ap2 laser on the shelf, next to the 3.9sec 419dam ap2 acid, and glance lovingly at the 7sec 519dam ap3 T-21 (not a power up in sight)... I find it real hard to make room for any SG82 I've ever seen. Hell, it'd take some premium kryat power handlers to make one that I'd even consider, and then I'd laugh at the smith who wasted 3 tissues on a cold rifle, when he could have made something saleable, like a Mod Republic Blaster. When was the last time you saw anything with a cold resist low enough to make you actually choose a low damage, low ap, cold rifle over a quality energy or acid weapon? The same applies to the Berzerker Rifle, it looks nice on the wall, but unless your attacking something with no armor, or you want to slow cook a roast, it might as well stay there.
As for a heatrifle other than the berzerker... Nope.
