Thread: My Rifleman Templet

I did master rifleman because my mrm friend was kicking lots ofass. And as just master rifleman i was not as awesome in pvp as i expected so i mastered fencer for defenses. And still, the fights are a lot closer but im not winning as many fights as i had hoped, as in im losing more than i am winning. This probably is mostly because my 80kin/78eng/5stun 66 base wookiee armor is nothing against the 35% slicedstun comp, but i am still getting kded alot.So i have decided to do trickshot in pistoleer for ultimate kd, dizzt etc defenses. Does anyone have anything to say about my templet, gear, and just anything that might help me out in pvp:


Master Rifleman

Master Fencer

Trickshot

Novice Medic


My guns I use are:

T21 244-674 (PU)

Disruptor 167-574 (PU)

Jawa 132-390 (PU)


Armor:

Kashykk Hunting Armor 80 kin, 78 eng, 5 stun, 66 base

IMP PSG 27 eng, 47 base


So with my new templet and some good pvp armor (hard as hell to find for wookiees), do you guys think i will be doing better in pvp or should i just drop rifleman and do pistoleer or tkm like everyone else?


PS if your a wookiee, what kind of hunting armor should i be wearing for pvp?

I recomend only keeping the defences from fencer and getting some from tk. if your not going to use a prof for damage master usually isnt worth it

def get rid of m fencer and get some tka defenses. and if you want to pvp with this template i would strongly suggest getting meditate line in tk. while its not needed it helps ALOT

this would be a much better template:

M Rifle
4400 Fencer
0040 Pistoleer
0030 medic
0040 Pikeman

this way you get:

capped kd def, capped melee and ranged defense, capped block, 70 def vs stun, blind and dizzy and access to Stim Cs, which can be incredibly usefull.

MY GOD! For once someone on the boards picks a good template. Listen up wookiee man, this is a great template if you learn to play well with it. As far as getting a ranged/melee combo template going, this is by far the best. btw, if you can, pick up a +10 or more defense to dizzy mod. You'll be undizzyable to jedi, which is gonna help you out a lot! Stick with this template, and i promise once you learn to use it, you'll love it.



O and for armor, just get the kind with the big horns comparable to composite with high stun.


some things you'll need to do though


Learn to Kite...well.


Get a defense vs dizzy attachment of 10 or more...(makes you an endless kiter, since you can't be stuck to the ground when you can't be dizzied.)


remember that rifles is your attack here, dont run in as fencer and expect to do damage. Learn how to play fencer defensively for when people are in your face.


Not to harp on people saying drop fencer for TK...but this template is better. hehe, i've tested both professions with riflemen and i can honestly say, in the long run, the dizzy defense ALONE makes this a better choice, especially in the jedi servers we play in today,



THE FINAL THING YOU MUST LEARN TO MAKE THIS TEMPLATE PERFECT


dont pay attention to the people who say all you do is kite. Cuz guess what, your a damn riflemen, and its what you're supposed to do. the same people saying all you do is kite are the same people who just want you to stand still so they can land a DOT. ROCK ON WOOKIEE MAN!

this looks good on paper, and i've played with this on TC2, but it all comes down to the fact that once someone is in your face and you can't hit em, your lack of toughness and melee mitigation 3 are gonna get you killed regardless of what you try. and there is absolutely NO way to beat a jedi with this template if the jedi is master sabers. which is pretty much boiling down to every jedi.


o and also, i'd go fencer 4040 if you did do this, because being undizzyable is better than having high KD defense.

That may be a problem, a lack of stun protection means you are toast once you come by another rifleman or stun damage prof. Get some 30+ stun resist armor if possible. Oh and invest some money into some 45% synth steak. those really really help block the damage. Other than that its a lethal combo, get a good acklay stun baton and a higher damage ion rifle are you'd be quite the tank.
