For a couple weeks I was stuck on the last level of special abilities in the rifleman tree. So I played for quite awhile at that level as a rifleman.

Once I finally finished it, my dps seemed to skyrocket from what I can see is 2 reasons, Strafe 2 and firing speed. going from 75 Rifle speed to 90, was a HUGE increase, easily recognizable.

70 to 90 Rifle speed change, my bad and no edit!

The damage on Strafe 2 is very good plus it's AE.


I use a 6.2 speeed 27-472dmg sliced , Laser Rifle.

I have hit for 3000 before armor/resist adjustments. The HAM hit is random, but devistating. I'm just now getting into PVP, I'll post more as I get more experience with it.
I can really appreciate why t21's were cut down in damage. With the best slice and resources making it, plus add powerups I could easily do 10k damage to AR0, mobs.

I realize why such a speed increase. My point, which I failed to express, was that maybe this needs to be spread out more. If you don't take up any other offensive skill that gives combat exp, special ability will always be last to get.


My friends wont let me fire anymore in groups I steal all the exp!

How is Strafe 2 treating you in pvp? What's the damage for your shots? And does it do anything other than just damage?

Just a guess here but I have a feeling the cause of a lot of the "wow the speed increase at master is mad" posts are because people get the special abilities box last. If you look at the last box you gain +10 speed, add that to the +20 from master and you gain 30% speed bonus all at once.
