Thread: Holocron Question on T21 degradeing
1st- I understand that the developers are worried aboat a armor pieceing 3 gun being able hit 3000 per shot every 1 to 2 seconds.
But your reduceing the min damage as well ?
Woulded it be better to increase the min damage slightly and then reduce the max damage in this way you would fix the problem of 3000 damage shots but also give players a bone by giveing them a higher average shot.
2nd- You wish to reduce armor pieceing from 3 to 1, Sorry no rifleman going find it acceptable for our number 1 gun to have armor pieceing equal to pistol. You have E11 and Laser rifle in game (laser haveing a much higher max damage. So why not reduce the T21 to armor pieceing 2.Take small steps
3rd- You talk aboat speed yet your plan on putting a hard cap on speed in which we can fire our weapons so really once we reach Master Rifleman doesnt matter if T21 shots at 5 seconds or 8 seconds still going to fire every 3 seconds.
4th- Ham costs on this are extreme 155 average for headshot3 (i have t21 105 to 306 damage 34 32 69 ham costs) I also use 150 odd mind on flushing shot. I understand that you are introduceing new improved entertainer buffs in game. But dont you think the ham costs on useing a T21 are rather extreme and maybe if your going to reduce our damage you could look at reduceing the Ham costs to give the players something back.
I agree with Draxous, better do slow decreasing if looking for a balancing issue then completely remove it in big chunks.
All of the points are viable really, is a laser rifleto be better then the T21?
Wasnt the armor piercing of the T21one, just a few patches back? And it was increased again?
We already getting a speed cap of 3 seconds implemented, so wepaons like the spraystick, I have one with speed 2.2 will be completely crap, after all, my skills as a master rifleman will be to no avail using it.
Same with the T21, as draxous points out, Whats the point of a T21 having so much lower speed, if it makes no differnce? Seeing the skills themself will hit the cap anyway?

Feels like I keep coming back for punishment... because I'm back to discuss another "nerf." Specifically, the T21.
The T21 was underpowered a while back, and we fixed some bugs that had made it that way, Now its true power is revealed, and we're scared. It seems able to do multiple thousands of points of damage in a single hit when used with specials. It's not supposed to.
Holo -MinDamage Range going from 105..195 to 75..125 worse
Drax-Why reduce min damage if your worried aboat guns high end damage
Holo-MaxDamage Range going from 298..553 to 140..290 worse
Drax-Thats a farly large damage reduction looking at 50% of orignal figure you dont think thats bit extreme.
Holo- AttackSpeed range going from 81..117 to 51..97 (divide these by 10 and that’s the time in seconds
At master rifleman we can already shot the T21 at max speed and your introduceing a speed cap makeing the weapon shot a few seconds faster helps us in NO way at all.
Holo -Midrange going from 60 meters to 50
Drax-Yes that will help with our accuray i never did understand why a long range gun was only effective for 3 m
Holo-Midrange mod going from -40..-15 to -10..15
Drax-Again that will help our accuracy yet we are still hitting for less then 50% of previous damage and gun does not compare to laser rifle with current stats.
Holo-Armor Piercing Value going from Heavy to Light
Drax-So your reduceing armor pieceing value to same as most pistols on our elite weapon ? Why not reduce to armor pieceing 2 simlar to laser rifles and E11. Try small steps and then judge the performace.
Holo-This weapon would do 450 base damage to an unarmed opponent.. It would use the existing multipliers for special moves.
Drax-My current T21 doesnt do 450 base damage to npc its 114 to 306 unsliced i would compare that gun to high range gun if these changes took effect. Infact its high end damage is slightly to high.
Other points i would like to bring up you dided mention reduceing ham costs so still cost us 150 odd ham to use spec attack with gun for 50% of previous damage. I have never 1 shoted anyone in pvp with my current T21 and yes i can hit for 500 random pool damage with flushing shot 2.
Then again a commando can kill me fully buffed with one shot his flamer or a BH can kill me in 4 seconds with 4 eyeshots with a scatter pistol with better stats then what you plan for T21.
As i said in my first post i can understand you being alarmed that weapon can do 3000 damage per hit in theroy but heres something to consider with all the materials needed to make this gun never going be produced at 100% OQ.
That being said i can understand reduceing the high end damage to more logical damage number. But does not explain reduceing other important stats such as min damage or Reduceing the armor pieceing value to below other rifles.
Or not address the ham costs when your reduceing the over all damage on the gun.

Ya holo I was scared too when I used the T-21, it's post Nerf too. Oh it did 1K damage even after the 75% reduction. Ya it did 1K damage to my mind pool.
I think it should have Armor Piercing 1, think about the commando weapons which dont have any armor piercing,LOL.
Hehe, yeah, that was the post where we were originally nerfed a month ago... someone bumped it for some reason.
Trust me in that nothing in that post is going to happen as the result of that post made us suck like we do now.

Reducing the AR is UNACCEPTABLE COMPLETELY.
leave it at 3.this is the largest laser in the game, with the exception of artillary and tanks.(via at-st)
