I bought an SG82 rifle last night (does cold damage) with a max damage of 181. Unfortunately it sliced for speed. I did not get a chance to try it before logging off, but I thought I read somewhere that they were broken and don't really do cold damage. I could be imagining this... does anyone know if SG82 is working as designed?
Also, do regular power-ups work on this rifle? (An SG82 with a scope on it would just look hillarious! It looks like half a trumpet!)

It is extremely rare because of the armor penetration that it will do better than the laser or jawa ion on mobs. The high AP of the laser rifle makes it better on heavy mobs, even when energy resist is somewhat high (and all higher mobs have armor)

I just got certified on the SG82 and was able to buy one of these rifles last night and I got to play around with it for a hour or two. It was a lot better than any of the other rifles that I am certified to use.

Well, there's two different replies!
Unfortunately,I am hunting higher mobs now, so it sounds as if I should stick with laser.
Anyone else got any ideas?

The jawa ion, other damage type for those energy immune mobs, and it has armor penetration 1.

Thanks, P...

I do have a Jawa Ion rifle sitting on the floor in the back room of my house. I've had it since way back first week of release and haven't used it in weeks. May be time to drag it out, dust the cobwebs off,and see what it looks like!

You may want to get a new Jawa Ion, crafting has come a long way. My Jawa does 100-200 damage, and had a speed of 5.8. It got sliced to 4.2.

The AP1 is nice, the Stun damage is nice. . . since the E11's SUCK on my server, it's one of my two main guns (along with the T21).

If you PvP, the Jawa is a must. Composite Armor is vulnerable to Stun Damage. End of story.
