i was curious does the master rifleman get any type of range increase beyond the limited 64m?

it seems to me how can you be a sniper when anyone can see you 64m shouldnt you get some kind of range boost. i mean the military has snipers that can shoot up to (i am guessing here) a half mile? so what is 64m thats only about 200feet?? does this not seem fair. that rifles are limited to the same range as everyone else? just you get a plus accuracy modifier? so big deal your a rifleman (aka sniper) get some distance from your target.
